B.Tech in Marine Engineering at IMU Kolkata is a good option due to its reputation, experienced faculty, and relatively low fees compared to private institutions. The programme provides comprehensive knowledge in theoretical and practical aspects of marine engineering, with a focus on solving real-world problems. However, it's essential to note that the life of a marine engineer can be tough and challenging, requiring mental toughness and time away from family and friends. Placements have seen fluctuations, but the campus still maintains a good reputation, with around 90% placements in recent years. Ultimately, choosing IMU Kolkata for B.Tech in Marine Engineering depends on individual priorities and goals.
