B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2029

Placements: I am from the Computer Science department at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology. The placement session for the passing batch was quite good compared to previous years. Students got opportunities in both established companies and growing startups. Around 85-90% of eligible students from the CSE branch were placed. Most of the students who were consistent with coding practice, internships, and interview preparation managed to secure at least one offer by the end of the placement season. The highest placement was 96 LPA, the average placement was 11-13 LPA, and the lowest placement was 6-7 LPA. Average Placement - 11 - 13 LPA the lowest placement - 6-7 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and labs are very well equipped; we have more than three to four labs for each required subject. The library of our college is an attractive factor; almost every book we require is available there. We have no restrictions regarding the issuance of these books, but we have to return them within 15 days, otherwise, there is a fee we have to pay for each day.
Faculty: The teachers at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology are always ready to help. It is not only the teachers who are assigned to us for a particular subject, but every faculty member of the respective subject is very kind to us and is always ready to help and clear our doubts.
Other: The college has two campuses, both of which conduct their fests and different events separately. Other than that, both campuses conduct two major fests every year. The major crowd consists of students from Delhi/Noida.

Good placements at the cost of no college life.
Placements: JIIT placements are much better than other private colleges in NCR or Delhi. The minimum CGPA requirement is around 7.5, and for good companies it is 8+. I am from ECE, and ECE students also participate in CSE placements. According to the college, around 98% students get offers. Big companies like Infosys, Samsung, Atlassian, etc. visit the campus. But most offers are given by smaller companies, which is why the median and average packages are low.
Infrastructure: This is the most downside thing of this college. The infrastructure is very poor here. First of all, there is no Wi-Fi on campus. It is only available in the library. Mobile data also does not work properly. It is very rare to even get a signal from one or two companies. There is no internet in the whole campus. It feels like living in the Stone Age. Classrooms are also very poor, like I am studying in a 19th-century classroom, sad and dull. Another major downside is that there are almost no sports facilities. There are just 2–3 buildings, a small ground, and no proper sports infrastructure. The food is okay.
Faculty: Teachers are kind of here. Some are chill. They don’t really care but they give good marks, while some really want you to study and are helpful, except one or two who are always in a bad mood, which causes mood swings in them. But the exam and the curriculum are good compared to other colleges. However, the exams are really hard compared to AKTU, IP, or DTU, etc., but we are graded based on other students, so that’s good.
Other: They have a mandatory uniform, so it feels more like a school. If they remove this uniform policy, it would be much better. The crowd is mostly studious, and everyone wants to study only. BBA students only have fun here.

Good placements, strong academics, disciplined campus life, and modern infrastructure.
Placements: Placements at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology Sector 128 are quite good especially for CSE and IT branches with around 90 to 98 percent getting placed. The number of students getting placed in the highest package goes up to about 62 LPA while the average package is roughly 9 LPA to 11 LPA, and the lowest is around 4 LPA to 6 LPA. Many reputed companies visit the college, however off-campus placements also occur.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of CSE at JIIT Sector 128 is modern with labs, smart classrooms, and Wi-Fi support. Hostel facilities are decent with basic rooms having electricity, internet access, and basic amenities mess. Though the Wi-Fi is not very fast. Food quality is generally satisfactory compared to other colleges. The campus also has a few sports facilities, including basketball, badminton, cricket, football, a gym, and indoor games.
Faculty: At JIIT Sector 128, faculty members are highly qualified and a few of them are supportive. The curriculum is mostly relevant. Semester exams are moderately difficult with continuous lab evaluations throughout the semester. The grading system is relatively stable, so the passing percentage changes year to year.
Other: I chose CSE at JIIT Sector 128 for its strong placement opportunities and coding culture. The course has a competitive environment which helps in developing skills. College life is disciplined but events like concerts and various clubs make it lively sometimes. The campus is close to the Blue Line Botanical Garden metro station.

Good for studies but not for college life.
Placements: A data analyst is the role offered. There are different sectors but the main thing is that JIIT does not help you with an internship, you have to look for an internship yourself. Do look for internships on sites like Unstop, Internshala, etc. Rest I'll say, try to look for off-campus placement.
Infrastructure: I'll say that the infrastructure is quite good but the campus is quite small, class breaks, and you don't know where to go, what to do or explore, you can literally walk around the whole campus in less than 10 minutes. You can play sports after working hours on weekdays. We have different teams for sports, football, volleyball, badminton, and students can choose according to their interests.
Faculty: Teachers do teach decently, it depends on your interaction with them. Teachers do help you if you go to them with doubts and all. Every second week there are exams so there is not much time for you to do something or explore something, T1, T2, T3, lab evaluation, lab tests, and project submissions.

Good for placement opportunities and location advantage for students in Delhi NCR region.
Placements: Top recruiters in my course include Qualcomm, NVIDIA, and Intel. The average package is 9 LPA, the median package is 7 LPA, and the highest package was 45 LPA (off-campus offer) during the previous academic year. Internship opportunities are also available for 2nd and 3rd-year students.
Infrastructure: The quality of the mess is good, especially in the initial few months. A basketball court and open space are available for sports. However, there is no dedicated space for other sports like badminton, tennis, etc. Labs are well-equipped, and the library has a good collection of books.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified but sometimes available to solve doubts. The teaching quality is fine overall. The course curriculum is aligned with government and UGC guidelines. 3 exams take place during a semester, and the level of the examinations is moderate to difficult. The pass percentage varies from course to course, but is kept around 30% generally.

A very decent option if your JEE didn't go well.
Placements: Placement in this college is decent, as I have communicated with my seniors. They have told me big companies like LinkedIn, Amazon, Google also come here, and semiconductor-based companies like NXP also comes and one can easily get a 7-8 LPA average package, and almost 70-80% students get placed during the placement drive.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is decent, and the hostel mess is very good compared to other hostel mess and the food is genuinely good. The infrastructure of the hostel is pretty decent too, and they provide all the required facilities, although there aren't many facilities for sports.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and some of them are IIT passouts themself and teach very well. The difficult part of the exam is pretty decent, it is obviously harder compared to other colleges, as I've asked my friends from other colleges, and the curriculum is quite interesting itself.
