Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) - Batch of 2026
1.8
Better for time pass, but not for D. Pharm.
Placements: There are no proper placement opportunities provided for D.Pharm students in this college. Most of the students do not get campus placements, and there is no structured placement support system. Internships are mainly self-arranged in a hospital rather than through the college. Due to this students need to depend on their own efforts for career opportunities after graduation.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is below average and lacks proper facilities for D. Pharm students. Laboratories are not well-equipped and the library does not have sufficient academic resources. Classrooms are basic and not well-maintained. Hostel facilities are also not satisfactory with poor food quality in the mess and limited hygiene. The college needs improvement in infrastructure and student facilities.
Faculty: The teaching quality in this college is not satisfactory as many faculty members lack proper subject knowledge and teaching skills. Students do not receive enough practical or industry-oriented training. The curriculum is relevant, but it is not delivered effectively to make students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult but students mainly rely on self-study to pass.
Other: Now I'm having an internship in Gandhi Hospital, but our batch is the last for Gandhi Hospital. Gandhi MOU is cancelled, they tied up with CMR Hospital.

College is okay and good for abroad plans. There are no strong placements.
Placements: I would say there are no proper placements for Pharma.D students in India. The package offered is 3.5 LPA. We get recruited in hospitals. Our internship is done in our own college hospital that is affiliated with our college. The top roles offered are clinical pharmacist and drug inspector.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure and facilities are present at both the hospital and college. Classrooms are okay. The hospital is also okay but it can be maintained somewhat well. There is a library in the college. There is no Wi-Fi for students. The hostel is average but the food is good. Games are conducted well.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, knowledgeable, and experienced. Their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant. It all depends on students and also sometimes on the person who corrects the paper. The pass percentage is 50% for this course.
Other: I heard that the Pharma.D course is equal to a doctor's, so I chose this course. The best thing about this course is we can learn about medicine or drugs and we can work in the hospital. There is no proper recognition for this course in India. Events are conducted well.

Good college with a proper environment, fests, cultural activities, etc.
Placements: Students who have graduated from this college are getting placed in top recruiting companies such as Pharmaceutical Industries, SAS, and other areas such as Pharmacovigilance. Roles are clinicial research associate, medical code, clinical pharmacist, and clinical pharmacologist.
Infrastructure: As a day scholar, I have heard from my hostel friends saying that they are on the premises of the college. The library has decent-quality books and a lab with decent equipment. Not every college is highly developed. We have to not judge a book by its cover. College is present in a normal space.
Faculty: The faculty for both B.Pharma and Pharma. D are well-qualified with good experience in research work. They can assist in students' research life. The college is affiliated with JNTUH which conducts exams in semester type for B.Pharma and year-wise exams for Pharma. D.
Other: The college has an MOU with a hospital which is highly qualified and has a huge patient inflow.

Review of Vaagdevi Pharmacy College.
Placements: Students need to score 10,000-30,000 rank in the EAMCET examination to get selected for this course. The highest package that every student will get is 2 lakh per month and the lowest salary is Rs. 18,000 per month for freshers. Students can work as clinical pharmacists, hospital pharmacists, and drug inspectors.
Infrastructure: We have a good library with good books. We go to labs, but chemicals are expired in some cases. The campus hostel food is sometimes good and sometimes not good. Medical facilities, sports, and games are good on our campus. We have 2 canteens in college.
Faculty: Teachers help us clear the doubts that we have about subjects, and students will know what real life is. There are yearly exams. We will have 3 mid-semester exams, and the best of 2 are considered. The pass percentage is 85%. Students can also get jobs in industries.
Other: I chose this course to serve patients. We will know the real value of the life. The college should give us more practical classes. Many events are organised in the college. The campus has a good and pleasant environment. Till now, we do not receive scholarships.

Best college with good facilities.
Placements: The lowest package is 20,000 to 60,000. There are a lot of companies. Drug inspector, clinical research fields, clinical pharmacists, and many others. Internships can be done, and hospital sessions are also conducted. Many top companies are involved.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure, and all facilities are available. Weekly presentations, hospital sessions, moral presentations, poster presentations, monographs presentations, and many other programs that we can learn a lot from. Project work is also included, and these are guided by our teachers.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching is very good. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant. Study is good. Teachers guide us in every aspect and encourage us to participate in programs. Health camps are conducted.
Other: We can participate in conferences, camps, programs, cultural activities, and many more.

Overall, this college is suitable for study, not for entertainment.
Placements: Approximately 70% students were placed in our course. The highest package 35 thousand, the lowest package 18 thousand, and average 24 thousand offered in our course. The top role offered in our course is research and development of drugs in Mylan Laboratory.
Infrastructure: We have a well-settled library, and labs for every practical subject also have a hospital owned by our chairman which is used for internship. There is no hostel facility. There is just a 3-floor building which is under construction. It was declared as the boys' hostel.
Faculty: Every teacher is qualified and helpful, but some of them are not well-knowledgeable. Teaching quality is well enough. Pharma.D course is not for industry, course curriculum makes the students ready for hospital. Semester exams are relatively difficult. Pass percentage is above 90.
Other: This course makes you professional in medicine. You get Dr. prefix in your name. Some good sides of this college are like you can do self-study, make a friendly relationship with teachers, teachers are always helpful. Also, there are some bad sides which I think should be better, like we don't have any free hour, we are treated like nursery students, academic time is too long from 10 AM to 4:45 PM. Surrounding area is very silent. There is no event happening in the whole year except farewell party, but only for 5th year and 6th year.

The college has good infrastructure, but there are no fests, which is somewhat disappointing.
Placements: Pharma D (Doctor of Pharmacy) students have hospital visits through which they can later work in hospitals with that experience. They also have internships in the final year, and B. Pharmacy is linked with companies where they get placements, like Reddy's Lab, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has classrooms equipped with power point presentations and a library where every book is available, allowing students to easily refer to their classes. There are labs to improve practical knowledge. Regarding the hostel, the infrastructure and facilities are quite good; I would give a rating of 3/5 for the mess and canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, and the invigilation for semester exams is very strict, with a pass percentage of 35%. The teachers clarify students' doubts, and rapid tests are conducted to ensure that students are capable.

I am absolutely satisfied due to the students' and teachers' friendly behavior.
Placements: In our college, about 90 percent of students got placements. Most of the students are happy with our college, which also offers post-graduation. For pharmacy, it is the best college, including for placements.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi and well-maintained labs make the environment conducive. All areas are kept clean, and the library is vast, considering the location. Classrooms are spacious for students' comfort and infrastructure. The main attraction is the pharmacy block in the institution.
Faculty: In my opinion, exams are tough because pharmacy is not easy to clear. However, exams become easier with good reading and practice. Each semester, faculty members are available and well-experienced in the college, providing quality teaching.
Other: There are events and festivals in the college related to studies and games. Many events occur in the college.
