Candidates have to first apply for the entrance exam required for the preferred course. KNRUHS selects candidates for most of the programmes based on their entrance exam scores. The university accepts NEET-UG, NEET-PG, NEET-SS and other entrance exams for admission to specific courses. KNRUHS releases a provisional merit list or cutoff based on rank of the candidate in the accepted entrance exam. Selected candidates are called for the counselling rounds. Once selected, candidates are called for document verification and fee payment.

KNRUHS Telangana is approved by the Dental Council of India (DCI), Central Council of Indian Medicine  (CCIM), Central Council of Homoeopathy  (CCH) and Indian Nursing Council University of Health Sciences  (INCUHS). 

It offers courses in UG, PG, Super Speciality, Doctoral and Post- Doctoral Fellowship levels. s offers UG, PG, Super Speciality, Doctoral and Post-Doctoral Fellowship programmes under several branches. These programmes are offered within the fields of Health Sciences, such as Allopathy (Modern Medicine), Dental Surgery, Homoeopathy, Indian Systems of Medicine and Paramedical. These courses are offered under 11 different streams, namely Modern Medicine, Dental, Ayurvedic, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Unani, Physiotherapy, Nursing and more. KNRUHS offers admission on the basis of valid Class 12 for UG level courses and graduation for PG level courses. In addition to this, candidates must secure valid scores in accepted entrance exams. Furthermore, candidates who are successfully shortlisted for the admission process must appear for counselling for the seat allotment. For final admission, candidates must pay the fees and confirm the seat.
