National Sanskrit University Admission 2025: Application, Eligibility, Important Dates & Fee Details

Candidates can apply for BSc programmes either by post, online or in person. The application form and prospectus can be obtained in person, by post or online. The online NSKTU BSc application process is elaborated below:

Step 1: Candidates must visit the 'admission section' on the official website of the University.

Application by Post: To obtain the application form through post, candidates need to pay the application fees through a DD that is drawn in favour of Registrar, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, payable at Tirupati. By post-DD amount is INR 250. Candidates seeking admission should send the application in the prescribed form. The application form should be filled in by the applicant in his/ her handwriting. The declaration must be signed by the candidate and by the parent or guardian.

Students who get admission to BSc programmes offered at National Sanskrit University are required to submit the following documents along with fees at the time of admission as mentioned below:

• Provisional/ pass certificate of the last qualifying examination
• Class 10 marksheet
• Class 12 marksheet

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) result is released by National Testing Agency. CUET syllabus is divided into three sections viz., Languages, Domain Subject and General Test. CUET language section assesses candidate through reading comprehension (factual, literary, and narrative), literary aptitude and vocabulary. CUET syllabus second section- domain subject assesses candidate's in depth knowledge on subject he/she has opted for. National Sanskrit University BSc curriculum is divided into semester-pattern. During the course of the programme, students are required to study following courses:

National Sanskrit University BSc admission is entrance-based for the academic year 2024 as candidates seeking admission to the BSc at National Sanskrit University are required to appear for the CUET. Therefore, Class 12 marks are not enough for admission to BSc programmes.

National Sanskrit University BSc admission 2024 is based on scores obtained by candidates in the CUET. Under the National Education Policy, BSc programmes of NSKTU are designed with multiple exit options. Candidates seeking admission to BSc at National Sanskrit University are required to pass Class 12 exams.

National Sanskrit University accepts the CUET scores for BSc admission. National Sanskrit University offers BSc in two specialisations i.e. BSc in Computers and BSc in Yoga. There are 22 seats available in the BSc in Computers programme and 44 seats are available in BSc in Yoga. The total seat intake for BSc in Yoga and, BSc in Computers programmes offered at National Sanskrit University is 66.

Common University Entrance Test/ CUET UG is an entrance exam. It is conducted for admission to UG programs offered by various central, state, private and deemed universities. Candidates willing to take admission to undergraduation programme in streams like Science, Humanities, Commerce, Law and Management must appear for CUET UG exam when conducted.

This entrance examination assesses candidates at various levels: Language, domain knowledge and general aptitude. CUET UG is conducted annually in computer based mode. CUET UG scores are accepted by more than 300 universities across India. 

The online registration for the National Sanskrit University Round 4 Seat Allotment is ongoing for the Prakshastri programme. The online application are made available on nktuadmission.samarth.edu.in from Aug 23 (3 PM). Candidates can apply for the course by registering before Aug 31 ( 11:59 PM). The total number of seats available for various categories is 26, whereas the application fee is INR 300. Earlier, National Sanskrit University has released Round 2 merit lists for BA Hons, BSc in Computers and BSc in Yoga. In case of vacant seats, the next round will be out on Aug 25. The CUET cut-off is released in the form of marks/points/percentile by different universities. The CUET score is good but mostly colleges' cut is near your score. CUET is scored out of 800, and the exam comprises multiple-choice questions. After passing the exam, candidates will be admitted to the UG/Integrated, PG, and Research programs.  75 percentile is fine but try to aim higher.
