No, the Karunya Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is not compulsory to get admissions into the MBA course at Karunya University. Candidates with valid scores on the CAT/ MAT/ XAT (minimum MAT Score - 400 or CAT/ XAT- 50 percentile) can also get admission into MBA courses. Therefore, KMAT can be considered as one of the competitive exams for admission to MBA courses. However, not the compulsory one.  

The university shortlist candidates for MBA course based on KMAT score. KMAT Karnataka or Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is conducted by the Karnataka Post Graduate Private Colleges' Association (KPPGCA) for admission to MBA course. Shortlisted aspirants are called for PI round. After completion of the selection rounds, shortlisted candidates are called for counselling and document verification. Candidates need to pay the course fee to confirm their admission.

In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Candidates will also need to pay a registration fee to apply for admission. Candidates can pay the application fee via any of the online payment modes.
