Candidates must pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate is required to apply for the BSc course. Aspirants must not be over 21 years of age as on July 1 of the admission year. Admission to the BSc course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. The Karunya University BTech application process follows a two-step process. In the first step, candidates are required to register, appear, and secure valid scores in KEE. Further, in the second application process, candidates who qualified for the KEE 2025 will participate in the counseling process through Single Window Counseling. This centralized counseling process will determine the final programme allocation based on merit and seat availability.

The Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu will release the TNEA 2026 counselling process dates for registration, assignment of random numbers, Certificate verifications, rank list publication, and finally, the counselling. The counselling rounds will include steps like Choice Filling, Allotment, Confirmation of Allotment, and Reporting to the College/TFC and payment of fees depending upon their confirmation.

BE/B.Tech admission in Tamil Nadu is done based on the online counselling process called TNEA. There is no state-level entrance exam for admission in Tamil Nadu. Candidates have to register and appear for the online Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions TNEA counselling held every year. 10+2 passed/appearing candidates can apply for TNEA counselling. Admission will be based on marks obtained by the candidates in the relevant subjects, namely, Maths Physics and Chemistry which will be reduced to 200 (Maths 100, Physics 50 and Chemistry 50).

Yes, the university offers a four-year BSc (Hons) Agriculture course. The selection to BSc (Hons) is based on Karunya Entrance Exam (KEE) conducted by the university and Class 12 score. Candidates must pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or PCB or PCMB or Agriculture with at least 50% aggregate to apply for the BSc (Hons) course. Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent under vocational stream and studied Biology and Agricultural Practices as Vocational Subjects including theory and practical with 50% aggregate can also apply. Candidates need to pay a total fee of INR 11.24 Lacs as per an unofficial source after the completion of selection rounds.

Once the Online application is submitted, the application will be scrutinized and candidates will receive anE-mail / SMS to pay the first installment of the first semester fee online. The fee payment is to secure the provisional admission. The candidates are advised to pay immediately and secure the provisional admission, failing which, the system may allot the seat to the wait listed
candidates.
