Karunya University admissions are completely based on merit and entrance exam scores. For UG courses, candidates a must pass Class 12 and PG courses, candidates must complete graduation. The selection of admission is confirmed on entrance exam scores/merit-based, verification of the original mark sheet, community certificate and other relevant documents. 

Karunya University is a private deemed-to-be university that is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also approved by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education)

Admission to some courses is entrance-based and some is merit-based. The university conducts KEE for shortlisting aspirants for BSc (Hons) Agriculture and BTech courses. Yes, the university offers a four-year BSc (Hons) Agriculture course. The selection to BSc (Hons) is based on Karunya Entrance Exam (KEE) conducted by the university and Class 12 score. Candidates must pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or PCB or PCMB or Agriculture with at least 50% aggregate to apply for the BSc (Hons) course. Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent under vocational stream and studied Biology and Agricultural Practices as Vocational Subjects including theory and practical with 50% aggregate can also apply. Candidates need to pay a total fee of INR 11.24 Lacs as per an unofficial source after the completion of selection rounds.

Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences offers merit-based, exam-based, and category-based scholarships along with Young Innovators & Inventors Scholarships to the undergraduate, postgraduate, and other course students. Some of them are Merit Scholarships for B.Tech Students, Scholarships for B.Tech Young Innovators & Inventors, Scholarships for B.Tech Lateral Entry Students, Scholarships for M.Tech Students, Scholarships for B.A. And B.Sc. Karunya University BTech is a four-year course divided into eight semesters. Karunya University offers BTech courses through the School of Engineering & Technology.
