Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences institution is a government-funded institution founded in December 2010 by the Kerala government. The university provides veterinary and animal sciences teaching, research, and extension services. The university is a public institution, not a private one. It came into existence on 14th June, 2010 as per Ordinance No. 44/2010 and later Act 3/2011 of the Government of Kerala.

Yes, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) accepts AIEEA-UG for admission to its B.Tech. in Dairy Technology program. The admission to the B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) course is regulated by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations of Kerala (CEE) through Kerala Engineering Entrance Exam (KEAM) and ICAR through the AIEEA-UG entrance examination. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognised as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subject with at least 45% marks put together in the above subjects are eligible for admission.

NEET scores are used to determine admission to the B.V. Sc programmes. 

 The admission examination, interview, and counselling are used to determine who gets into the B.Sc. programmes. 

 A combination of the entrance exam and interview determines admission to the M.V.Sc. programme. 

KVASU provides programmes at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate levels. The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) and the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations of Kerala (CEE) oversee the NEET-UG test.

There is no campus placement available for BVSC students, but note that, as it is a medical course and everyone is a doctor on graduation, there may not be a need for campus placements. Programme is Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry recognised by the University with an CGPA of 6.0/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of 50% marks in traditional system. Yes, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) conducts the All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) to offer admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in agriculture and allied sciences, including veterinary science. The ICAR score is relevant for admission to the M.V.Sc. course at Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. 25% of the seats in each department are reserved for ICAR applicants who pass the admission exam.
