Established in 2008, Krishna University is a state-level university located in Andhra Pradesh. Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the university offers over 250 programmes at UG, PG, diploma, certificate, and doctoral levels. These programmes span across streams such as Science, Arts, Commerce, Law, Engineering, IT, and Management. Admissions are offered either through state/national entrance exams or on a merit basis, depending on the course.

Krishna University admission process of 2025 is organized and transparent so that there is fairness to all candidates in undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs and doctoral programs. Some courses are entrance-based and mandate state or national level exams, whereas the others are based on merit-based admission process which is determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations.
Step 1: Krishna University Application Process 2025
Admission process initiates with the Krishna University official site where the online application is done. The applicants are required to create a profile, complete the application form with both correct academic and personal information, attach the required documents i.e. mark sheets and identity proof, and lastly, pay the application fee online. Applications that are submitted successfully and payment of fee is considered valid only.
Step 2: Entrance Exam / Merit-based Selection
On completion of the application process, candidates are either dealt with in terms of entry examination or on merit basis. Entrance-based admissions are applicable in programmes such as BTech, MBA, MCA, MTech, MA, MSc, LLB and MPharm where exams such as AP EAMCET, APICET, AP PGECET, KRUCET, and AP LAWCET are required. In Merit-based admissions, on the other hand, it is applicable to BA, BSc, and BCom whereby one is simply chosen based on the performance in the final qualifying examination.
Step 3: Cutoff
Cutoff marks or ranks are published by Krishna University or the authorities concerned in relation to entrance-based admissions. These are the lowest points to proceed to the next phase of admission. Depending on the number of applicants, performance level in the exams, intake of seats and reservation categories, the cutoff changes each year. Counselling is open to all who satisfy or beyond the cutoff.
Step 4: Seat Allotment/Counselling
Counselling and seat allotment is the last things in the process. The shortlisted individuals should attend counselling sessions with their original certificates in order to validate them. All the applicants are given seats in their preferred courses based on the rank or merit lists upon admission, and subject to reservation and availability requirements. Admission is guaranteed only when the verification is successfully done and the candidate pays the stipulated tuition fee within the stipulated deadline.

As per the basic eligibility criteria released by the Krishna University, there is no percentage criteria based on 10 or 10+2 grade. However, it is mandatory for the candidates to do complete their UG degree with a passing percentage of 50% in any discipline from the UGC recognised university. For more detailed-wise eligibility criteria, candidates need to check out below:
- As per the APICET eligibility criteria 2025 candidates seeking admission to the MBA programme should have studied and passed the three- or four-year degree course in any discipline conducted by the university or recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC).
- Candidates with aggregate marks of 50% (45% in the case of reserved categories – SC, ST and BC) are alone eligible to take admission through APICET.
- The qualifying Degree obtained by the Distance Mode Program should be recognised by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE, and DEC/DEB.
- The candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for Andhra Pradesh ICET-2025.
