31% of the total seats are reserved by MAHGU for students who are permanent residents of Uttarakhand. a) Under sub-section (1) of section 35 of the Maharaja Agrasen Himalayan Garhwal University Act, 2016, for admission in various courses conducted by the University, Thirty-one percent (31%) seats shall be reserved for the permanent residents of the state of Uttarakhand.

b) University shall adhere to the state policy of reservation made by the State Government under the constitution of India or as notified by the Government of India for the purpose from time to time and the same shall be applicable for admission to any academic programme for OBC, SC-ST, and physically handicapped candidates (with a minimum disability to the extent of 40%), over the intake fixed for each academic Programme.

c) University may reserve a certain number of seats for NRIs, foreign nationals, PIOs, and industry personnel candidates for admission to any of the academic programmes, over the intake fixed for each academic programme.

d) Candidates seeking admission under the reserved categories shall be required to fulfil the prescribed conditions and eligibility criteria of admission to any of the academic programmes.

e) If the reserved seats are vacant, due to the non-availability of eligible candidates or any other reason, then said vacant seats may be filled by the other students on a merit basis/otherwise, as deemed fit.

Placements: 75% student get placement from college and the highest package is 8 LPA. The lowest package is 3 LPA and overall average package is 4.5 LPA and top recruiter company is wipro and teach Mahindra role we get Developed and IT sector profile we get job from this college .
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very nice and cool, it's in a hilly mountainous area. Wi-Fi service and labs are also available. Classrooms and the library are here properly, and everything is nearby and clean. Sports activities are organized from time to time.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Sometimes the faculty disappoints, but the teaching quality is better. The course curriculum is relevant and provides industrial visits here. During exam time, this college provides all the necessary things, and the pass percentage was 96% last year.
Other: I have completed my BCA from here, and the reason I selected this college is the very supportive environment and better opportunities to improve myself. Events on campus and scholarship opportunities are also provided.

I am dissatisfied with the faculty members. It provided good placements in 2015.
Placements: 70% of students get placed in my course. The average package is 3 LPA, and the highest package is 9 LPA. The lowest package is 2.40 LPA. Companies like Infosys, TCS, etc., visit the college for placements. 80% of students got internships. System engineer is the top role offered in this course, and it is one of the best positions in MNCs. After doing BCA, a student will be a developer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is too good. The university is near the mountains, so the view is also good. The quality of the hostel and food is good. There are many indoor and outdoor sports. The campus is very outstanding and the nature near campus is also good.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified. They are PhD holders. The course curriculum is relevant. Exams are not that difficult. 40% is the pass percentage. Faculty members are not that strict and very helpful.
Other: I chose this course because BCA is a very interesting and very trending course. The best thing is that students will think very analytically. I wish with the help of this course the government exam is more offered for BCA students. Events and the campus crowd are not that good because the college is near the mountains.

Review of Maharaja Agrasen Himalayan Garhwal University.
Placements: There were 30 students in my batch. The package ranged from 1.8 LPA to 2 LPA. The top companies were 1. GURMAN SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS and 2. MICROSOFT. 20% of the students interned from my batch, two with one company and two with MICROSOFT, in the role of website designing.
Infrastructure: Classrooms were big, but chairs and tables were not in good condition. There was no Wi-Fi. There was a library, but I visited it very rarely. A study room was provided where cleanliness was always maintained. The hostel mess and food were bad. The basketball ground was large.
Faculty: Teachers were excellent and well-known. It's hard to say "industry-ready" because there was a lack of practical knowledge at this institute. The pass percentage is 33%, and the last semester is the toughest, while others were quite easy to learn practically.
Other: It's a growing industry where more chances of employment are predicted. I wish to have more friends during this course. This college is quite far from other colleges, so we have more in-college programs than outside.

Placements: The highest salary package offered was 35 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc. , visited our campus. Almost 95% of students were placed. Around 70% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Our college hostel and classrooms were excellent, neat, and clean. Our college had lush greenery. Every day there was fresh air. Our college had excellent infrastructure. Everything was good.
Faculty: Our teachers were helpful. Our college organised yoga, football, volleyball, cricket, karate, and many other sports. There were chess and indoor games available. The semester exams were average.

Good Infrastructure in the Himalayas of Uttarakhand.
Placements: After completing, a Bachelor of Commerce from HGU, I got placed as an Accountant in a firm in Noida. Himalayan Garhwal University helps me to get a job for me with a package of 5.5 LPA. I got placed directly from the campus of the University. Also, I learned a lot. Proud to be a student of HGU.
Infrastructure: The facilities on the University campus were good. It has a good canteen where we get delicious food, and the sports ground is vast, and medical services are the best. Also, the hostel campus is fully-furnished, and it has air-conditioned rooms. The washrooms are clean and hygienic.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified, and the course curriculum is relevant also, got practical knowledge. Difficulty levels of exams were moderate. The exam on income tax in a semester was a bit tricky, but I was able to solve it because of our professors.
Other: I chose B.Com. as I have a great interest in the subject of Accounts. I wanted to make a career in it, as well as I am also pursuing CA.
