The modern Nalanda University was founded in 2010, located near Nalanda, Bihar, is not among the top-ranked universities in the region. It is ranked 9th among the top universities in Bihar and is not featured prominently in global or national rankings. While it offers unique interdisciplinary programs, it does not currently rank as the best in Nalanda or Bihar but it could be better option 

To get admission to the University, students first must have a minimum of 70 percentile in the XAT/MAT/CAT entrance test followed by selection for a Personal Interview. The average CAT score can be considered 198 to 180 for the MBA and the 90+ percentile in any of CAT and MAT can be considered good for admission to the top colleges. 

For MBA 

• For Indian students, a minimum score of 70 percentile in CAT or XAT or MAT is required.
• For international students, a minimum credit score/GPA at Undergraduate level to be 3.0/4.0 GPA or equivalent GPA or relevant GMAT score
• For Working Executives=Minimum 5 years of working experience, No Objection Certificate is required from employer for working executives/sponsored candidates/ candidates on sabbatical/candidates recommended by PSUs/GOI Departments., CAT/XAT/MAT score will not be applicable.
