A 98.85 percentile in JEE Mains is a strong chance of getting admission into core branches at National Institutes of Technology (NITs) like Trichy, Warangal, Surathkal, and Rourkela. Factors affecting admissions include previous years' cutoffs, seat availability and competition, and high percentages. A 98.85 percentile is considered competitive for these NITs, and a high percentage falls within the range typically secured for various branches. Core branches are generally more attainable with a high percentage. To secure admission, research the closing ranks for specific core branches at each NIT for the general category in the past 3-5 years. Decide on your preferred core branch (es) within these NITs, considering factors like interests, job opportunities, and future career goals. Actively participate in the counselling process for NIT admissions, allowing you to choose NITs, branches, and other colleges based on your rank and seat availability during each counselling round. Admission information for the current year is not finalized, but with a 98.85 percentile, you have a strong chance of securing a seat in a core branch at one of the NITs listed.
