According to NIRF ranking NIT Trichy is the best choice but if you want the tag line I. e; IITian then go for IIT Bhubaneswar. But best choice will be NIT Trichy, CSE. You'll never regret joining NIT Trichy. It's average package for CSE is also good and ranges from 17-24 LPA.
You'll get a lot of opportunities in NIT Trichy to express yourself, expose yourself and develop yourself. You'll find a lot of platforms which are led by the students itself which gives you opportunity to explore yourself and launch yourself. NIT Trichy is really a good option as there are knowledgeable peers around you which helps you study well and compete and build knowledge. NIT Trichy has excellent amenities. It's the first top NIT which stands in top 10 in NIRF ranking which is far better than most of the IITs , especially in CSE branch. No need to think more, just go for NIT Trichy.
IIT Bhubaneswar is also a good option. But where ever you join you have to give your best to be placed . So choose wisely .

Placements: Metallurgical and materials engineering is a very good branch. We get a lot of free time as the subject is mostly practical. In GATE 2020, our college ranked 41 from the metallurgical department.

Hello! These are two different topics and you want to know how they are from two different institutes too one is NIT and the other is IIT. There is a general perception that the academic and the placements are better in IIT as compared with NIT. This may be true definitely about placements because only a selected lot who clear JEE Mains are allowed to apply for JEE advanced and from here only limited students can get admitted to one of the IITs. To come back to your question, MTech is in thermals. I feel that in this subject there is a lot of school for doing research and obviously, this is going to remain with us since the need for energy is perpetual. On the other hand, mechanical design is also a subject that can see very many developments in the future since designs undergo a lot of changes based on the usage and feedback by the users. This subject too has great potential for future employment. Given the foregoing, I feel that if you are getting admission in either of the courses you should take it, and of course you should give preference to IIT over NIT. Best wishes to you.
