A current student's perspective on the food science department.

Placements: Food technology students do not get placements but they do get internships in the last year. You should be performing well in the internships if you want to secure a place in the company. They do provide placements for some other courses So if you can you should check other courses out.

PAU is full of opportunities and research.

Placements: There are not many options after a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Horticulture, and we can either study further, or we can prepare for job exams. The scope is very prominent in horticulture but placements are very low as there are not many jobs for B.Sc in Horticulture. We have to do a master's degree in order to get a job.

Dissatisfied hostels but the great campus life and placement at PAU.

Placements: Getting placed here is quite easy due to the strong alumni network within the university. The seniors are very helpful, and there are no issues with ego among them. Alumni of PAU are spread across top universities around the globe and are eager to offer assistance.

Good placements in 2023, highly cooperative faculty.

Placements: Around 70-80% of students are placed each year. Companies like Mahindra and Mahindra, TAFE, CLAAS, John Deere, and other companies are invited every year for the on-campus placements. The students are shortlisted based on merit. The average package offered by companies is 6 lakhs per annum, and the highest package was offered by John Deere, starting at 15 lakhs per annum.

NCERT books are so basics and I think you should prefer NCERT book of class 10th for math and science. English section consists of vocabulary and basic concept so no need to word. You have to revise only tense and synonyms, antonyms and verb. Alos agronomy is of basic level.
