Rama Devi Women’s University Highlights 2025
Formerly known as the Government Women's College, Rama Devi Women’s University is a state-level university. It was established in 1964 and was entitled as a University in 2015. It is the first women's university in Odisha. At present, the University has 49 women’s colleges affiliated with it. UGC recognises RDW University and was also awarded CPE (College with Potential for Excellence) status by UGC.
Ramadevi University Bhubaneswar offers UG, PG, and PhD courses across Management, Science, Commerce, and others. The flagship courses offered at RDWU are BSc and MBA. The university has a placement cell that conducts the recruitment process and also provides pre-placement training to the University’s students. Yes, Ramadevi University is as good as the Royal School of Management & Technology. Ramadevi University has the basic amenities expected of the first women's government university in the state of Odisha. The campus is large, and dorm accommodations are offered. The classrooms are spacious and tidy. The faculty and staff are courteous. Annual functions, skill development programs, sports festivals, and a variety of other events are regularly held each year. Typically, the admissions process begins in June. Updates to the courses are made on a merit-based schedule. There are specific cut-off percentages for each stream. Many of the highly qualified college faculty members have more than 15 years of excellent teaching experience.
For a period of two years, the university offers postgraduate courses in ten different subjects. Admission to postgraduate courses is granted based on graduation-level grades and results from RDWU's PG Entrance exam. For an hour, there will be 40 multiple-choice questions on the test. There will be one mark assigned to each question.
Candidates need to have received at least 45% in honors subjects at the graduation level in order to meet the eligibility requirements.
