The University Grants Commission (UGC) is a statutory body established in 1956 by the Government of India through an Act of Parliament for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India.

Private University is a university established through a State/ Central Act by a sponsoring body viz. a Society, a Public Trust or a Company. Such universities may be independent of UGC control over day-to-day activities, but cannot award degrees, affiliate institutes/colleges or set up off campus centres etc. without the UGC's approval.

| Grade 'A+' accredited by NAAC

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous body established by the UGC to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country. It grades an institution from A++ (best rating) to C. Rating D indicates that the institution is not accredited.

Fees structure changes every year. I can tell u approximately. If Ur K-CET student then it would be 1.1Lac per year. If your management student then it would be around 3.5 to 5 Lacs per year.

As per your search on Shiksha, the fee structure of any college/university cannot be given without knowing the complete details.
*I have no direct association with education, one of my friend recently took admission in BA In Journalism in LPU, and lives in LPU hostel with the help of my friend I jotted certain facts those will help you decide better.
LPU is a good choice for higher studies. B.A. (Journalism and Mass Communication) is 3 yrs. (6 Semesters) programme. Eligibility Criteria in LPU Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent:
The processes in Hostels are so designed to help the students in every which way possible. LPU residential Facilities are indeed exceptionally well organised and maintained. The hostel administration at LPU is very cooperative .LPU offers the standard Rooms, Apartments, Dormitory. Standard room (1-6 Seaters).So you can visit the LPU website for check hostel fee.
*My genuine suggestion to you will be to take hostel .Hostel is far better than staying out where you have to manage many things along with your studies and in the hostel, you just have to study and concentrate on your carrier and building your future.
*If I am not wrong, admission for the session 2020-21 is already begun through online mode and in order to avail maximum scholarship benefit you need to take admission before 30th of April and then apply for LPUNEST.
