Types of Scholarships Offered by REVA University
REVA University Bangalore provides RISE (REVA Initiative for Scholastic Excellence), a merit-based scholarship, Defence/Paramilitary/Police Scholarship, Scholarship for Specially Abled, NCC Scholarship, Sports Scholarship, Staff Children & Sibling Scholarship and Referral Scholarship for 2026. Detailed information for different types of scholarships is given below:
1. RISE (REVA Initiative for Scholastic Excellence) Scholarship
REVA RISE is the flagship scholarship aptitude test to support deserving students belonging to the rural class of society. Under this scheme, a 100% scholarship is applicable for students scoring 95% and above, and the student must belong to a rural Govt. PU College. For continuation, students need to maintain a minimum of 80% attendance, a CGPA/SGPA of 8.0 in each semester and in subjects.
2. MERIT Scholarship
This scholarship is offered based on the merit of national/state level entrance examinations/tests. Eligible for National/ NRI/ OCI/ POI candidates, candidates must secure the minimum required marks or percentile to avail the REVA University merit scholarship. All exams fall under the merit scholarship; the REVAite* category will get a higher percentage benefit in the scholarship as compared to the National/ NRI/ OCI/ POI categories.
3. Sports Scholarships
REVA University sports scholarships are applicable for sports that are included under the AIU University Games and the Indian Olympic Association. This scholarship is given only after the approval of the sports department meeting the eligibility requirements set by the University. It is applicable only for the first academic year, and continuation of the same will depend on various factors, including students' performance, eligibility criteria, etc.
4. NCC Scholarships
NCC Scholarship of REVA University is valid only for one academic year, subject to prior approval of the Associate NCC Officer (ANO). Continuation of the scholarship will depend on the performance of students in NCC. The maximum scholarship percentage is 20%, of which either the stipulated % or 20,000, whichever is higher, will be provided.
5. Defence/Paramilitary/Police Scholarships
The maximum scholarship percentage under this scheme is 50 and is provided to wards of Defence, Paramilitary and Police departments. Unlike other schemes, the scholarship is covered for the complete duration of the course under this scholarship scheme. To avail of this scheme, applicants need to present a valid certificate issued
by the recognised competent authority.
6. Scholarship for Specially Abled
A total of 25% scholarship will be provided under this scheme for the complete duration of the course, meeting the terms and conditions. Applicants are also required to submit a valid disability certificate issued by a recognised authority.
7. Staff Children & Sibling Scholarship
Valid for the wards of REVA University permanent staff members, a maximum of 25% scholarship is available for eligible students. This is valid for the complete duration of the course, while for the sibling scholarship, only one academic year will be covered.
8. Referral Scholarship
It is valid in case any employee, alumni, or Students of REVA University refer any students for the scholarship. This scholarship is only valid for one academic year, and to avail of this scheme, Employee/Alumni/Student ID and relevant details need to be submitted.
Eligibility Criteria for REVA University Scholarships
REVA University Bengaluru scholarships eligibility criteria vary for all the above-mentioned schemes. For all the schemes, scholarship will be allocated on first-come-first served basis. Once the approved limit is reached, the scholarship will be ceased. A student can avail only one REVA University scholarship under any category. All the scholarships are fixed at the time of admission. In case a student changes a course after availing any scholarship, it will automatically become invalid and shall be revised as per the selection of the new course and its eligibility.
