Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU), formerly known as Amravati University, is a state-level university that was established in 1983 in Amravati. Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU) is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It is re-accredited with a B++ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). 

Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University accepted entrance exams are JEE Main, MHT CET, CBSE 12th, Maharashtra HSC, ICAR AIEEA, and others. Candidates applying through JEE Main must prepare well for the JEE Main exams. Prior preparation is very important. For prior preparation, candidates must read the JEE Main books, attempt as many JEE Main question papers as possible. 

To secure a seat at SGBAU Amravati through MHT CET exam is possible at a minimum percentile of 22.5 for B.Tech. in Pulp and Paper Technology, and maximum percentile of 80.95 for B.Tech. in Food Technology under General HS quota.
