Good college with beautiful campus surroundings and knowledgeable faculty.
Placements: Almost 80% of students in my course got placed in better companies. The highest average package in my course was around 7-10 LPA. The lowest average package was around 4-5 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course were Amazon and Google. Around 60-70% of students got internships in companies related to marketing and Amazon. The roles offered were Product Manager and Marketing Manager.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in my department were very awesome. The Wi-Fi had good speed. The laboratory was very neat and clean. The classrooms were modern, and digital boards were used. The library had good and sufficient books for students. The quality of the facilities in my hostel was very good. The quality of the food available in the mess and canteen was also very good. Medical facilities were available. Sports and games were played properly.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, well-qualified with Ph.D. degrees, and very knowledgeable. The teaching quality was very good. They had a good understanding of the students. The course curriculum was very relevant. It made students industry-ready through practical work and interaction between companies and students. The semester exams in this college were not very hard, and every student passed in my course. Pass percentage of students was 55%.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in business, marketing, trading, and investment. The best thing about my course was that it offered better packages than other courses. The course could have been improved by developing better communication skills to help students get placements in better companies. The events, fests, campus crowd, connectivity, and campus surroundings were very good. Scholarships were given to eligible students. Extracurricular activities also took place.

Satisfied with the curriculum but placements and industry exposure can be better.
Placements: They provide good placements in Finance and Marketing. The placements in HR and B.A. are very mediocre. The placement package is average to good according to the course fee and brand value. Almost 80 percent of the finance people got placement last year.
Infrastructure: It has poor Wi-Fi connectivity and despite repetitive complaints, it is not fixed. They serve good quality food. The taste may vary on a daily basis but most days its taste is good. Campus has a basketball court, a volleyball court, and a big football ground.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful, coordinating, and well-qualified. They guide us academically as well as make us placement-ready and counsel us for our personal problems too. They are very friendly. I am really obliged to work under their guidance and forever thankful to them.

Good placements in 2023 and helpful faculty.
Placements: In 2023, there was 100% placement. The highest package was 12–15 LPA, and the lowest package was 6–7 LPA. Companies like Deloitte, Infosys, and TCS recruit from the campus. The roles were Data Analyst, Financial Advisor, etc. The chances of getting selected through campus placements are high if you have a good profile, a neat resume, and extracurricular activities.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are big and air-conditioned. There is Wi-Fi, a library, a canteen, practical rooms, playgrounds, parking facilities, and hostels for both boys and girls. The quality of everything is above average. There are medical rooms and a professional to help students as well.
Faculty: Teachers are professional and helpful. They provide study materials and PPTs for exams. The lectures are insightful. The exams are moderately easy depending on the subject. We also have industry visits in the last year. The courses offered are diverse.

Amazing infrastructure and good placements.
Placements: A good number of students are placed. Almost all students get internships. It has become mandatory due to the introduction of NEP in our curriculum. The average placement package is 12 LPA. The top roles offered are content writing, content ideation, and educator roles.
Infrastructure: The college has a well-equipped library and amazing infrastructure. Along with smart TVs and good audio-visual aids to promote learning. There are multiple sports amenities and facilities available as well, including both outdoor and indoor sports. The e-library resources are equally good.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, and some are Fulbright Scholars from foreign universities. The curriculum is inclusive, diverse, and unique. It fosters the overall growth of students. Students learn critical and analytical skills along with communication skills.
Other: I chose this course because of my love for literature and writing.

My review of this college.
Placements: The placement cell of St Xavier's University, Kolkata, creates a platform where students can showcase their talents. Different companies seek to explore and utilise them. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, NestleD, Amazon, HDFC Bank, BookMyShow, Britannia, Pepsico, and other various companies come for campus placements. The average package offered ranges from 4-5 LPA, and the highest package is 25 LPA. All interested students can apply to companies they wish to get jobs through the placement cell. They provide us with internships from the first year, which contain all the necessary practical experience in the field.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. The hostel has very good maintenance staff members, and strict discipline is maintained. The food is better than in other hostels. However, one shouldn't expect it to be the same as we eat at home.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful. They are always more than willing to guide students. We are always encouraged to meet our professors after the classes for any problems, and there are extra classes as well for underperforming students. They teach very well, and individual attention is given to every student. They are cooperative and very nice. Exams are conducted on a semester basis. There are 2 semesters per year. Semesters of 6 months each of 10 marks, along with the semester exams of 80 marks. The other 10 marks are for attendance, presentation, and projects. The course structure is very good. It has a semester system, which is very good for a degree college. Students can get help from professors whenever they want. The course is apt for commerce students and gives them insight into academic study, research, as well as representing seminars, etc.

It has well-structured academics, decent faculty, and good scope for growth but limited campus life.
Placements: In my course, not many students applied for placements, so I think probably like 5% of students got placements. We do have an idea since I have not applied for placements. 80% of students got internships in companies like Fortis, Apollo, etc. I actually don't have much idea about it. Top roles are offered as nobody applied for placements in my course.
Infrastructure: Every classroom is air-conditioned. It has smart boards with a podium, and seats are somewhat comfortable. There is Wi-Fi, but the connection is too slow and jammers are fitted in classrooms, so there's no network connection at all. I have not opted for hostel facilities, so I don't know about it. The canteen provides very good quality food at an affordable price. Various sports are played on the campus, including annual sports day.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable about the subject they are teaching. Their teaching technique is very good, but some of them are not up to the mark. The course curriculum is highly relevant to my course, and it covers all parts of psychology and enhances my knowledge of psychology. The difficulty level is moderate as most of the class students pass exams, and a very low number of students have backlogs.
Other: I chose B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology because of my deep interest in understanding human behavior, mental processes, and emotional dynamics. I would wish to inculcate more practical knowledge rather than theoretical. Every year, an annual fest called Xavrang happens during January. There are many clubs and societies which students can take part in, according to their interests and hobbies. The campus is beautiful with a lot of greenery.

Hi,
You have a chance of getting seat in your desired college with your percentile marks. Over the years, Great lakes will definitely get admission to MBA course at a cutoff percentile of 70 only, and 75 percentile is more than enough to avail the course.
