B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2023
3.8

Infrastructure is good but academics are not good.
Placements: Around 60% of students were placed in our course. Other than this, some students were also recruited for irrelevant jobs. The average package was around 5 LPA. The highest package was about 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Accenture, Capgemini, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course were extremely good. Our college had world class infrastructure. It provided Wi-Fi campus, big classroom, very furnished labs, and library with lots of books. Quality of hostel was also good. Limited sports facility was available. It had basic medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Some were arrogant but most of them were very kind. The teaching quality of our faculty members was kind and innovative. Course curriculum was relevant. Semester examination was moderate.
Other: College had multiple arts and cultural events despite tech events.

B.Tech. in Mechanical and Automation Engineering - Batch of 2027

Absolutely satisfied because of campus and academics, good placement for B.Tech.
Placements: More than 70% of students got placed with a median salary of Rs 50,000 monthly. The highest package was around 7 LPA last year. The lowest was 4 LPA. Average was around 6 LPA. Volvo, Manhindra & Mahindra, Reliance, and Honda were the top recruiters. 100% of students were offered internships by IT companies like TCS, Wipro, etc. Core companies like Reliance, Mahindra, and Tata. Retail, operations, and QC/QA are the top roles along with some R&D.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, functional labs, spacious classrooms, centralized library, and canteen are available. Other high-quality facilities include hostel, ATM, cafe coffee day, water coolers, elevator, centralized air conditioning, clinic, sports complex including gym and swimming pool, basketball court, cricket pitch, football field, etc.
Faculty: Highly helpful, amiable, qualified, and knowledgeable faculty members are there throughout the departments. Course curriculum is relevant and apt as per the new education policy and other higher standards. It's optimised for making pupils industry-ready. Semester exams are medium difficult but are easy with a little effort in studying and being attentive in classes. Most times, less than 90% is the pass percentage.
Other: Campus life is enough to choose this college. Academics are an added bonus. Labs and practical classes should improve. Events happen all the time with Amiphoria fest once a year. Campus life is smooth and easy. Surroundings are aesthetic, green, and eco-friendly. Scholarship is easily awarded to eligible students. Extracurricular activities are facilitated through existing active clubs.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) - Batch of 2025

Great college life, average placement. Enjoyed 2 years of fests - Amity hosts the best in Kolkata.
Placements: 60-70% of students were placed in our MCA course. The highest package was 12 LPA offered by IBM, the average package was 5-6 LPA offered by some startup companies, and the lowest package ranged from 2.8 to 3.5 LPA. As far as I know, IBM was the top recruiting company. The college provides both paid and unpaid internships. For unpaid internships, you must pay the registration fees, and the same applies to paid internships. You may also receive performance-based offers or PPOs.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is easily accessible throughout the Amity campus. The labs and classrooms are very good, and I can say the library is the best I have seen compared to other colleges. The facilities in our hostel are of high quality. The food in the canteen is much better than that in other college canteens, and the prices are affordable for everyone.
Faculty: In our MCA course, all the teachers are helpful. Every teacher holds a Ph.D. degree. The teaching quality is excellent, and the course curriculum is relevant. The teachers give their 100%, and if students do the same, they can become industry-ready. The semester exams are not very difficult; if you attend all classes and prepare well, you can pass easily.
Other: The best part of the university is the events it organizes. I have experienced the best fest in all of Kolkata.

M.A. in Applied Psychology - Batch of 2025

I did a master's from Amity University, Kolkata.
Placements: Particularly in my course, there are no placements. However, for other departments, there are placements. Students get placements from top companies like Amazon, TCS, PwC, etc. Even if there are no placements offered in this course, one can still contact the placement cell and enquire about it.
Infrastructure: Amity University, Kolkata, has a huge campus and provides a lot of facilities. There are gallery classrooms, AC, Wi-Fi, a library, and labs. In total, there are 3 canteens on campus. There is also an infirmary on the campus with a nurse and a doctor present. Amity has a yearly sports fest called Sangathan.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. Along with major subjects, they teach subjects like business communication, ethical guidelines, which are extremely helpful to make one industry-ready. There are internal exams and external exams. Semester exams are not so tough that one cannot pass. The pass percentage depends on the course.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2028

Really good infrastructure, and helpful faculties, but needs a bit of transparent placement process.
Placements: Placements are decent, but there can be some improvement. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, and IBM recruit from the college every year. The college provides ample internship opportunities to students, and the placement cell is quite helpful.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel and college is absolutely amazing. It has top-notch facilities, with good Wi-Fi, air-conditioned classrooms, and a huge library with all kinds of books needed for courses. There are three canteens, all serving hygienic and vegetarian food. There are also many shops outside the college that serve non-vegetarian food, which can be brought into the college canteens to sit and eat.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable and are always ready to help. The course consists of both theoretical and practical knowledge, and students are trained in various soft skills and business management skills, which make them helpful for the industry in the future. The semester exams are moderately hard.
Other: The college has a very strict anti-ragging policy, and hence the environment around the college is quite healthy. The main reason for chosing BCA here is that it has a comprehensive syllabus which follows the National Education Policy and provides extracurricular facilities such as foreign language and communication skills. The annual fest, Amiphoria, is quite spectacular. Clubs are very helpful and welcome new students every year.

Everything about Amity Kolkata.
Placements: In our time, approximately 67% of students get placed in every type of company, ranging from good to bad, based on their skills. The average packages vary from 7 LPA to 2.5 LPA, with Deloitte being one of the top recruiters. Almost 95% of students secure internships, but not with very prestigious companies. Companies like Traversal and other startups collaborate with our college. The top roles are consultant, analyst, and developer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good, in fact, one of the best I've seen in Kolkata. Wi-Fi is provided, there are good labs and desktops, and a peaceful library, though it has fewer informative books. Medical facilities include AC rooms. The sports ground is very small, but it is encouraged through several programs such as Sangathan, which is a department-wise sports competition.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but there are fewer teachers available, so one teacher may teach more than one subject. The faculty strives to prepare students for the industry by appointing teachers for soft skills training. Semester exams are fair, and the pass percentage is 60%.
Other: I think this course is in demand. Our HOI could improve behavior, but other aspects are fine. There are different clubs, such as the events club, music club, and extracurricular activities.
