Q:   Is CLAT a difficult Exam?
    A:
Dear Student, Hardwork is the only shortcut. Common Law Admission Test CLAT is a MCQ based online examination for getting admission into the premier law schools of India. It is more or less the JEE of the legal world. Now let's come to the question you asked: Is CLAT a difficult exam? No. One can clear CLAT with one months preparation, but to get into the top 5 National Law Universities (NLUs), one has to work very hard. Mug up all the current affairs you find. Polish your English. Brush up your maths concepts. Learn to solve Legal Reasoning questions. Improve your logical reasoning skills. With all this, you can ace CLAT. It is definitely much easier than JEE, but here luck and mental ability plays a big role along with hard work. If you want to kick start a successful career in law, it is important to get admission into a good law college. There are multiple universities from where you can do 5-year LL.B. Like IILM University Gurugram offers BBA LL.B. & B.A. LL.B. With Moot Court Internship, Seminar, Workshops, Experiential Learning. TNNLU - Course, Facilities, Infrastructure and Placements.
Placements: Around 30% of the students get placed every year from TNNLU. The Internship and Placement committee plays a crucial role in assisting these placements. Every year, Top recruiters like Trilegal, LakshmiKumaran Sridharan, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Co etc. Every year, Placement Brochure is released which consists of the details of the graduation batch and their internship experiences. Day Zero Committee is also constituted which looks into the feasibility of inviting recruiters to the campus for placements.
Infrastructure: Facilities include Air Conditioned Classrooms, 24/7 Wi-Fi Network (which can be accessed anywhere in the campus), various teaching methods which include using ppts and white boards, conducting interactive sessions and quizzes, conducting presentations etc. Library typically functions between 6 AM to 10 PM with timings extended upto 12 AM during exam hours and project time. Digital library services are available as well as desktops for working on your projects. It has some of the largest resources and could afford access to variety of online sources like Hein, SCC, Jstor, Project Guttenberg, Manupatra, EBC reader, NDLI etc.
Faculty: The faculty here are kind and are ready to solve our doubts anytime we need. Course curriculum is designed on accordance with the current requirements in the field. From 4th year onwards, electives courses are offered which offers expertise in any desired field of law. Exams are conducted in two parts per semester - Mid Semester for 30 marks and End Semester for 40 marks.
Other: Overall, TNNLU provides a very good campus life where studies is balanced with other co curricular activities. Celebrations and other events are an important part and culture of this campus. So anybody who is willing to join can anticipate a lot of enjoyment. In my opinion, more clubs and committees as well as student association can be established. The best thing about pursuing law here is it gives a practical experience through internships, competitions etc. And placement has improved significantly.

Absolutely good infrastructure and facilities, and satisfied with the placements.
Placements: The first batch of this university is yet to pass out in 2018. Till date, the students from the seniormost batch have interned in reputed places throughout the country. It includes tier-I law firms, eminent jurists in supreme court and high courts, senior advocates and various law officers in supreme court and various high courts, governmental bodies such as commisions, ministries, legal services authority, multi-national companies, etc. The placement drive for the senior batch is on, and the university is witnessing a good number of recruiters ranging from eminent advocates to law firms visiting the university for the recruitment drive. The average annual package offered till date is around five lakhs. The highest is around 7.5 lakhs, and the lowest is around 2.5 lakhs. The internship opportunities our students take up are also very standardised and structured adhering to the bar council mandate. The stipend for the internships differs heavily from place to place, where a Tier-I law firm will offer up to 15,000 per month, and certain advocates offering around 5,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our university is one of its kind in the state among the other law colleges. It is also one of the very few national law universities which had a full-fledged campus at the time of commencement of the courses. The campus atmosphere is very friendly. All the classrooms are fully smart-room enabled. All the classrooms are air-conditioned. Also, the entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The library is one of the well-stocked among other law colleges with all online databases up to date. It also has a wide range of journals ranging from law, business, political and other subjects. A full-time medical centre is functioning on the campus, along with a government ambulance stationed all time for emergencies. The sporting activities are vivid, and there are two grounds, a larger one and a smaller one for the sports activities. The sporting kits are being provided by the university itself. The hostel rooms are very spacious, and it's on a three sharing basis. The mess is contracted to a third party contractor who is operating in NIT-Trichy and in few other places. The food is very average though. There are a Bank and a post office operating on the campus.
Faculty: The course curriculum is very standardized and systematic. Most of the syllabus is prepared after thorough referrals to other universities across the Country. The faculty members are very knowledgeable and are graduates from leading law universities. Their experience helps us a lot in all activities. Their teaching styles are very modern and easily adaptive for the students. The faculty to student ratio is 1: 20. We are aptly trained on activities such as mooting, debates, research methodologies, etc. The curriculum is also largely useful during the internships and other activities.

Satisfactory experience of the university in terms of placements.
Placements: Placement is not good, and the amount of money they are charging does not justify the placement. The college does not encourage the students to go for corporate jobs because they do not want to take placements. Even professors sometimes discourage students from going for placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good but average. Though it is for basic use, it is also accessible to PWD students. The hostels are good, built within the campus and available for the students. Washrooms and other facilities are good, usable, and in decent condition.
Faculty: Some faculty members are good, and some are not up to expectations. Some find it hard to complete the syllabus on time, or they leave the syllabus for the students to complete and write the exam. Curriculum and exams are satisfactory, as they are set by the standards of BCI and UGC.
Other: At my time, the fees are reasonable compared to the facilities and the university name. The crowd is good, with students from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities.

As per the cutoff of 2024 the closing rank under OBC category was 2995, so you might be having some problems while getting into it.
