Review of School of Law, Presidency University, Bangalore.
Placements: Till last year the eligibility criteria were very strict for placements, so the placement percentage was 3-5% only. But this year, they have made it a bit lenient so students hope the placement percentage improves this time and hopefully good companies come.
Infrastructure: The courtrooms are available. There is a separate library for the school of law. Digital Classrooms are well-ventilated. As classes are conducted on the 5th floor, the lift is also provided. Wi-Fi works decent. The food and other medical facilities are decent.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive. The teaching method is very interactive and interesting. A lot of assignments are given. The curriculum is decent only. The only issue is that there are a lot of subjects that we have to study in our initial years but we ended up studying them in the 4th year because it was not provided to us in our initial years.

Really Good infrastructure and campus life.
Placements: Only 2% of the total number of students were placed from the final-year batch last semester. The highest package was around 7 lacs, with three Tier 1 firms coming to recruit. It's just meh. You can't expect too much from this university as it is the school of law. Since it is not an NLU, it will have its own problems.
Infrastructure: The hostel is nice. Very nice, in fact. There is a gym room, and all the major facilities are available. The hostel wardens are sometimes bad and sometimes good, depending on the warden you get. There are a lot of rules, though, like you can't wear shorts on campus. Yes, that is an actual rule.
Faculty: The teachers are amazing. Everyone is from good universities and has done an LL.M. The course is relevant and does indeed make the students industry-ready. The exams are difficult to pass. Most teachers often don't give out marks just to pass. So, yeah, it is nice but tough.

Amazing campus life with good facilities for students.
Placements: The placements at the university are quite good. Students who maintain certain criteria of CGPA get placed in good firms and companies. The average package is 3,00,000 and goes beyond 13,00,000. The students who pursue corporate law get placed easily as it has diverse opportunities. Not only limiting to the corporate field, others are also placed provided they maintain a good CGPA and clear the interviews as well. The baskets for various fields are to be chosen during the third year of law. Various top firms do hire students if they clear the interviews, and the best students crack the job.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in the college is really good. All the essentials are provided to the students. Students are provided with college Wi-Fi and each classroom has a projector. The collection of books in the library is very vast. The university has two libraries, one which is common to all and the other is exclusively for the law students. There is a huge variety of books that are not only subject-related but also range from other books like literature, fiction, non-fiction, novels, etc. Apart from these, the university also has an auditorium, seminar halls, and labs, which are helpful for the students. The college also has various food joints and offers sports facilities that include a cricket ground, volleyball court, basketball court, badminton court, football court, etc. The college teams up with other universities for various competitions in sports and academics. They also team up for webinars and other events too.
Faculty: The faculty at the university is very supportive and friendly. They help the students anytime. The faculties come up with new ideas to make the class more interesting. The classes are mostly based on discussions, presentations, and other activities. The teachers are highly qualified in their respective subject areas, and most of them have done their PhD, and some are pursuing it. Yes, the course is curriculum-relevant; it does help the students shape their career. As we see, law is developing day by day, which offers huge scope to the students and provides various opportunities as well. The exams are not that difficult, but they are not easy either. The exams are divided into two: midterm and end term. They are of 50 and 100 marks, respectively. And the internals are 50 marks. Hence, the total is calculated out of 200. A student needs to score 80 out of 200 to clear a subject.
Other: The course offers various opportunities in the future. It is not just about the classes; other activities are also conducted for real-life experience as to how the courts work. Therefore, various competitions are held within the college and nationwide as well. Apart from the studies, the university organises various fests and events. Faculty: The faculty in the university are easily approachable and are highly efficient. In my course the new laws like bharatiya sakshya adhinyam have been implemented and are being thought by expert faculties. Every student will be allocated a mentor who will take care of the students academic and attendance record.

Presidency University- A good option or not?
Placements: I got to know about Presidency University via advertisement. I took admission in the year 2019 for the B.A. LL.B. course. A total of 210 students were there in my batch, out of which only 5 got placed via the placement drive. No help was provided to the students with regards to placement. The college isn't concerned about the students' placement. No top companies came for placement in the School of Law.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is still to be completed. Basic amenities weren't available for a long time until recently. The college does not have an in-campus hostel; you have to stay outside. The hostel facilities were average, in my opinion, as I only used them in my the first year. There is no opportunity for sports, as the college is least interested in providing opportunities.
Faculty: The teachers are the only shining spot about the university. They are qualified and impart knowledge. The course curriculum is somewhat relevant but does not make the students industry-ready. Semester exams are okay, but the backlog system is completely money-looting.
Other: I chose the course because I had a niche for law. The college needs to work on a lot of things, such as placement, infrastructure, systematic processes, and internship opportunities, etc.
