First of all do not fear the seniors they will try to dominate you and do not enter in the politics it's pretty harsh in the university because I saw some of my friends did doing that and didn't even pass they got backlogs. You've to keep your distance from those guys otherwise you'll get influenced as well. After that you should explore the campus the labs and the workshop area as well. If you want to enjoy you can go to the ground area to chill with your friends as well as there is a Library area you can read the books there. The canteen area is closed right now but soon it will open I guess that is a great place to enjoy so it's all I can say to do in your first year do not involve in politics and make good friends.
