TIU, don't be confused with Techno India Saltlake College.
Placements: The placement of TIU is quite good as lots of companies are still visiting. There are many opportunities for getting placed for the computer science students. The average package is around 3 LPA. Some notable companies for CSE and IT students that visited in 2017 are Virtusa, CGI, Persistent, Direct, Microsoft, Kreeti technology, Code Captain, Hitachi, and Mindtree. The mass recruiter like TCS is yet to visit the campus as it is a new college.
Infrastructure: The college building includes 6 floors which can be reached via elevators. IIT feels more like a place of work than a college. No proper ground or hangout facilities are available. It has centralised A/C. The computer labs are spacious. The first-floor classrooms need some changes. You will be unable to listen and see properly. It has a library which lends books but not a place to sit and study. The college fees are higher compared to other mainstream colleges in West Bengal.
Faculty: The college follows a separate curriculum than the one with MAKAUT. It is autonomous under UGC. The faculty situation in TIU is in need of an upgrade. The teaching quality is very poor. The teachers are new, inexperienced, cannot explain properly. They don't have any knowledge of the subjects they teach. You will learn very little to nothing in classrooms, and you feel better off staying at home.

Students should not be confused between Techno India University and Techno India Saltlake College.
Placements: A good number of companies visit our college for placements in spite of being a new college. The average salary package offered is around 3 LPA. Lots of CSE students get placed as a lot of IT and software companies visit the college for them. There are not many mass recruiters. Companies which visited for CSE, IT including pool campus companies are CGI, Virtusa, Microsoft, Direct, Kreeti, Persistent, Hitachi, Infosolz, Inboraft, Code Captain and Mindtree.
Infrastructure: The university building is equipped with facilities, which includes spacious computer labs and library, which is used only to borrow books but not to sit and read. Free Wi-Fi facility is not available, which is necessary, available, but it is not available. Elevators are also available. Classrooms on the upper floors have centralised air-conditioners, but it needs to be fixed on the ground floor. Students are unable to hear and see the board properly as the distance from teachers to students is far in the classroom. The canteen is just recently provided, which serves food at very high prices, although lots of eating options are available just outside the college gates. There is no hostel near to the college, but the college hostel is available in another place. It is better for students to stay in PGs and flats for rent.
Faculty: The college lacks the most in terms of faculty members. The college has a terrible teaching standard that students can experience here. Faculty members are not good, and the college authorities ignore this important thing. Students will learn nothing by attending the classes, and it is better for them to stay at home. Some teachers cannot even converse properly, which makes the students behind.
Other: Our college fee is very higher than in other colleges. It is not under a MAKAUT college as it is autonomous.
