Yes, the Deemed-to-be University offers several merit and merit-cum-means basis scholarships. These scholarships are available for the students of BE/BTech, LEET, MSc and MCA courses. Candidates wanting to avail of a scholarship must meet the eligibility criteria and fill out the application form to apply. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) offers several scholarships for BTech, MTech, MA and MCA students. Scholarships such as Merit-based, Merit-cum-means, for Msc, MA and other PG courses are provided to the eligible students. Candidates must the eligibility criteria to avail these scholarship programs. 

To get the BTech Merit Scholarship-I at Thapar University, applicants must complete their Class 12 and must have scored more than 95%. Additionally, the applicant must be among the top 50 students based on their All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Main 2024, regardless of her/ his engineering branch. 

For continuation of the scholarship in the second year, applicants must have a minimum of 8.50 CGPA in all previous semesters. In BTech Merit Scholarship-I, students get a total fee waiver.
