Recommended for passionate social workers .

Placements: ? Around 40-50% were placed in the course. ? I actually don't know the answers to that. ? Local and Regional NGOs, Government Projects. ? 70-80%, mostly NGOs, the community health sector and Welfare projects in Meghalaya. ? Counsellor, social worker, community development officer, NGO project assistant .

Infrastructure: The ICFAI University Tura, Meghalaya is situated in the hill region West Garo Hills, which makes it calm and good for focused study. For our department course, we do not have enough well-equipped items and are limited, like there is no projector so we have to borrow from other departments to use. There is a decent computer lab with decent internet, Wi-Fi is available across the campus, The library hall is decent. As for hostels facilities I do not have answers as I'm a president within the state so I live in my own house.

Faculty: The Teachers are qualified, helpful and equipped with knowledge. The curriculum is relevant for a career in social worker. Exams difficult is moderate, mostly theory based, questions are straight forward if you study notes and field work experience. Pass percentage is 40% its not that hard but need to be consistent effort. Overall its good and not that hard.

Other: I chose this course because I want to bring change and improve the well-being of society. The best thing about this course is to get different types of experience for example I get to visit places during my field work and interact with the community and learn new things, which enables me to improve my overall life skills. I would like to say that for the MSW course practical should be more focused than the theory because the practical improves the overall individual skill.

Although the university is not that bad but for higher studies I prefer other universities.

Placements: There are about 23 number of students in total. The course offers to learn and know about the people and environment and also about the problems that they face. For the internship our course doesn't provide any placement. Although internship are conducted during the field work.

Infrastructure: The Meghalaya Branch has got 3 building in total that are seperate from one another. The infrastructure of the building is not that good for study or teaching environment. Also the wash rooms and toilets are i.e.. only one washroom and toilet. The compound is also not that big.

Faculty: The tests and exams held are very good, a strict rule is maintained during the exams and multiple tests are taken. The passing percentage is unknown to the students. A total of four exams are held annually. Cheating and violations during the exams are strictly not entertained.

Other: The students are not that interactive with each other specially if you're from different class . It is because most of the students are form different places.
