Mumbai University Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D:
A candidate should fulfill any of the following criterion in order to apply for Ph.D research programme at Mumbai University:
1. Candidates should hold Masters Degree/ M.Phil Degree in relevant discipline from a recognised university with minimum 55% marks in total for general category and 50% marks in case of reserved category.
2. The applicant should be a teacher having full time teaching experience of at least two years in Degree College or five years in Junior College.
3. The candidate must be a graduate and working in National Laboratories/ Institutes/ Government/ Private organisation, nominated/ sponsored by the respective employer.
4.NET/SET/GATE/JRF qualified candidates of the apex bodies in higher/technical/ professional education such as CSIR/UGC/ICAR or other equivalent examination. Note: A candidate belonging to backward class from Maharashtra state only is eligible for claiming seat under reserved category.
