I am fully satisfied with the facilities available at the university.
Placements: Percentage of students placed is 10%. The highest package offered is 16 LPA. The lowest salary is 5 LPA. The average package offered is 6 LPA. Top companies are Federal Bank and Synchrony. Internship percentage is around 25%, and they get internships in IITs and research institutes. Roles offered are data analysis and research.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good. Buildings are old and broken. Wi-Fi facility is available. Library is available and it is 24X7 open. Hostel is not good. Rooms are small and broken. Wi-Fi is available. Food is not so great. Food is unhygienic and tasteless. Canteen is cheap and the food is average. Medical facilities are good. Sports and game facilities are available.
Faculty: Teachers are excellent and their method of teaching is unique and interesting. They are experienced. Course is also great for industry purposes. We are given the choice to choose are electives. Semester exams are tough. One needs to put in hours of study to score good marks. Pass percentage is around 90%.
Other: I did not get any other college so I ended up here. I don't think there is any need for improvement. Events happen frequently. Fest is organised once a year. Scholarships are provided to needy people.

I am fully satisfied with the course and dissatisfied with hostels.
Placements: Placement percentage is 12% - 15%. The highest package is 14 LPA. The lowest package is 5 LPA. The average package is 7 LPA. Recruiting companies are Federal Bank and Synchrony. Internship percentage is 20%. Roles and companies are research assistant in IITs, research institutes, RBI, and NABARD. Roles offered are research and data analysis.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good in the classroom. Toilets are neat and clean. Facilities available for PWD students. Wi-Fi is available. We don't have a library but a reading room. Hostel facility is not good. Food is not good and insects can be found in the food. We have many canteens on our campus and they are subsidized as well. Medical facilities are available all the time. Sports facilities are also provided.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable also. Their teaching style is good. They provide the lecture slides also. Course curriculum is relevant to the industry needs. The course is rigorous. Semester exams are not very difficult. But one has to study a lot to score good marks. Pass percentage is 80 - 85%.
Other: Course will help me to prepare for CFA. The best thing about this course is its industry-specific. Fest is held once a year. It is a three day event. Scholarships are provided to few students on a merit basis.

    M.A. in Economics - Batch of 2026
    2.4
    1Placements2Infrastructure2Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
If you're planning to come here for studying M.A. Economics, please don't.
Placements: There are around 130 students in the M.A. Economics and Financial Economics, and hardly 25 students get any placement. The recruiters are mostly small companies, and the average package is very low. The placement cell is nothing more than an independent students' organisation. Basically, you shouldn't consider this university if you want placement. The same with the internships too, you have to find on your own.
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure is very poorly planned and designed. Apart from old and depressing architecture, the locations of different buildings are also not well thought out. Some of the hostels are in the north campus and some are in the south, which are 3-4 km apart. Some departments are in the middle, some are in the east campus (3 km from the north campus), and some are in the south. There aren't enough buses to carry all the students to their respective classes. But, the library is in the middle, somewhat nearer to everyone and it's open 24*7.
Faculty: I must say, for such a highly rated university with a tag of "Institute of Eminence" (which they like to boast about all the time), the professors are pretty mediocre. You'd be lucky if you find one or two good ones. The curriculum is very hectic, especially for Economics students. The exams are also very frequent, you won't get any time to explore what interests you or prepare for a competitive exam. The difficulty level of exams varies, but mostly it's medium.

University of Hyderabad:the dreams and success.
Placements: The placement rate for my course was only 10 percent but 100 percent of the students had internships. Few companies came to recruit but most students were interested in research or pursuing a Ph.D. The University of Hyderabad is well known for its research departments. Placement opportunities in history are not plentiful.
Infrastructure: The University of Hyderabad provides a wide range of facilities including Wi-Fi in the campus and hostels classrooms public areas and the auditorium. The food in the mess is average but the quality of food in the canteen is much better. The university also provides a health center and sports facilities.
Faculty: The professors were very helpful and had a lot of research experience. In fact we had world-class faculty on our campus. The students were satisfied with the curriculum and the lectures of the professors. The pass percentage at the University of Hyderabad is 99 percent.
Other: I chose this course because I want to pursue further research in history. I also hope that there are placement opportunities after my master's degree. In addition I am looking for a university that offers extracurricular activities such as sports workshops and festivals like the annual festival called Sukoon which is organized by the student union. Finally I hope to receive a 100 percent scholarship.

M.A. in Political Science - Batch of 2025

We have really good faculty members here.
Placements: The campus placement opportunities here are good. While not everyone opts for campus placement, those who do tend to get decent salary packages. There are also internships and other opportunities available, but it's up to the students to keep track of them. Several of my batchmates got the opportunity to present papers at different universities, including Kerala University.
Infrastructure: The university has a 24*7 library, open Wi-Fi, and reading rooms in both the south and north campuses. Each department also has its own reading room. The old hostels have a few non-functional washrooms, but the new ladies hostels are really nice and even have a gym and playing area.
Faculty: The teachers at this college are really good and helpful, with a few exceptions. However, due to the implementation of NEP, the course structure is a bit different, and many courses that are considered core are missing. The semester exams are okay, but the mandatory attendance requirement is a problem for students who want to do other things at the same time.
Other: I think mandatory attendance should be removed. The campus culture is very inclusive, and it's a great place to live. For those who are into sports, this campus provides good opportunities. However, not so much for Masters students; undergraduate students have an abundance of opportunities for academic writing, presentations, etc.

Best department for political science among central universities.
Placements: Percentage-wise data varies. Although after this course, many students prefer to go for higher studies and pursue a PhD. In that aspect, this university is one of the best places. Professors will help you carve out your future plan. They engage with you regarding the further course of action you take and are very open to helping you with where you want to pursue your PhD.
Infrastructure: Classes and hostels are well maintained. There are a few problems, but considering everything and the fee structure, one should say it is good. Wi-Fi facility is available both in hostels and departments. A separate department library also exists along with a huge university library. The quality of food is average. As a South Indian menu is available, people from other parts of the country may face a challenge regarding food.
Faculty: The faculty is top-notch in the country. You will be studying from the best minds in whatever area you want to pursue. The course curriculum is often heavy and keeps students engaged throughout the semester. Rigorous efforts are expected from students. Evaluation is done by written exams as well as other modes of assessment, such as term papers, projects, and assignments. It is a must-visit place for this reason if one wants to study political science in a public university in India.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to study political science. This department is considered one of the finest in the country, and it's worth it. Sukoon is the annual fest conducted by the elected students' union. The crowd and campus are both filled with energy. Connectivity is based on the buses run by the university.

Both the Hyderabad University and Delhi University are the top universities present in India. The ranking for both the universities is different. Also, the placements for both the universities is quite good. Which one is better depends on what a student is looking for in a college or university.
