It was established to fulfill the need of having a separate university in South Gujarat. VNGSU is a public-state university. The University has also been re-accredited by NAAC with Grade ‘B+’ in 2022 and is a UGC-recognized university. VNSCGU is popularly known for its UG, PG, and Diploma courses. The flagship course offered at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University BSc and MBA.
The university conducts entrance exams for admission to courses, including BFA, BPT, BOPTM, BSc (Nursing), etc. Admission to the MBBS course at VNSGU is based on the NEET-UG score. Veer Narmad South Gujarat University accepts national-level exam scores for PG course admissions. For MBA, the CAT/CMAT score is accepted. While MD and MS courses admissions are through NEET-PG.
