Q:   What type of questions are asked in JEE Main?

There are two question types in JEE Main exam. Multiple choice questions and numerical ability questions. In MCQ, every question has 4 options with only 1 correct answer. Select the correct option. In numerical ability question type, no options are there. Solve them and write answer using keyword and mouse.

Q:   How many questions are asked in JEE Main exam?
A: 

Paper 1 has 75 questions where Physics Chemistry and Mathematics, each section has 25 questions. Out of 25 questions, 20 are MCQs and five are numerical value questions. You must answer all 5 numerical value-type questions. All 20 multiple-choice questions are compulsory. Complete all 75 questions in 3 hours.

Q:   Can I change the language of the question paper during the exam?

JEE Main question paper is in English, Hindi and language selected when you filled application form. In total, JEE Main is in 13 languages and you can select any language out of available options. You cannot switch language of question paper during exam.

JEE Main January 24 Exam Analysis 2025 by Aakash

As per the students' reaction to the JEE Main January 24 analysis, the Maths section was lengthy but not difficult. The Physics section was easy to moderate. The weightage of organics Chemistry was high as compared to inorganic chemistry. The important topics asked in the exam are fluid, ray optics, rotation, WEP, conic section, vector 3D and others. 

As per one more student, JEE Main January 24 overall paper was moderately to difficult. The maths section was on the difficult side. The Physics and Chemistry section was easy to moderate. Sequence series, continuity, and vector are some important topics asked in the JEE Main January 24 shift 1 exam. Class 11th has more weightage than 12th.

Q:   Is there any mock seat allotment in JEE Main counselling?

JEE Main counselling do have the provision of mock seat allotment. JoSAA will conduct a total of two rounds mock seat allotment where candidates can check which college they get based on the choice filled by them. Candidates after registering for the counselling have to enter their preferred choice of college and branch in the order of preference. The allotment of seats will be made on the basis of All India Rank and choices filled by the candidate.

Q:   What is the exam pattern of JEE Mains?
A: 

JEE Main 2026 exam pattern has been released by the NTA. As per exam pattern, the JEE Main Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech) exam will consist of 75 questions, 25 each from Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. Out of 25 questions, 20 will be MCQs and 5 will be NAV. Students need to answer all 75 questions. JEE Main paper 2A for B.Arch consists of 77 questions of which 25 are from Mathematics, 50 from General Aptitude and 2 from Drawing. In Paper 2B for BPlan total questions are 100 of which 25 are from Mathematics, 50 from General Aptitude and 25 from Planning.

The question paper will have no internal choices within questions and total duration of exam is 3 hours.

The National Testing Agency releases the JEE Main 2025 question paper at the official website. JEE Mains question paper will be released in the form of response sheet. Applicants can download the JEE Main January 24 question paper with answer key from the login window. Applicants can check JEE Main response sheet to calculate their estimated score before the declaration of the results.  

JEE Main Answer key 2025 

The National Testing Agency will release the JEE Main January 24 answer key at the official website. Applicants will be required to enter their login credentials to download JEE Mains answer key 2025. The answer key of JEE Main January 24 comprises correct answers to all the questions asked in the exam. NTA will also allow candidates to raise objections against JEE Main answer key 2025. After reviewing all the objections, NTA will release the JEE Main 2025 final answer key 2025.
