Rabindranath Tagore founded Viva Bharati University, which is a central research university and an Institute of National Importance in West Bengal, India. It embodies the Tagorean idea of the development of the full person. The University is granted the designation of a unitary, residential, and academic institution. Viva Bharati University is approved by UGC and is accredited by NAAC with a B grade. Viva Bharati University has been ranked 98 among the top 100 universities in India by NIRF 2022. The courses offered by the Institute are B.A. M.A. BFA B. Des B.Sc. MSW and many more. The mode of admission to the Institute is CUET or other entrance exams. There are 12 institutes that offer undergraduate, graduate, master's, and doctoral programmes.

Admission to the UG programmes will be done through the entrance test called CUET in Visva Bharati University, and admissions to postgraduate programmes will be done on the performance of the candidates in the entrance examination. Viva Bharati is a public central university. The University was founded by Rabindranath Tagore and it follows Tagorean principles. Viva Bharati is approved by UGC and is accredited by NAAC with a B grade. Viva Bharati University is ranked 98 by NIRF 2022 in the University category. The university through its twelve affiliated colleges offers undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), bridge, certificate, Diploma, and PhD courses to students across Science, Commerce, Arts, and various other streams. The Viva Bharati University admission 2023 for UG programmes will be based on the marks scored by the applicants in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). However, for PG courses candidates will have to take the Viva Bharati University admission test applications which will be released on the official website.

CUET results usually declares in June. Candidates who will appear for the exam will be able to download their CUET scorecard online when released. The link to download the CUET scorecard will be released at CUET exam results. Candidates will be required to enter the login credentials to view the CUET scorecard online. CUET scores are used for admission to various universities/colleges that candidates has applied for while filling the application form. Candidates must download and take the print of the CUET results  when they are released.

To apply for admission in the BA course at VBU, candidates must wait for the next academic year. Admissions for 2024 are closed now and the last date was in July.
