Visva Bharati University Course Admissions 2025: CUET, Application, Eligibility, Fee & Dates

The admission to BA courses at Vidya Bharati University is primarily based on CUET scores. Also, candidates who are willing to secure a seat in the BA course must complete their Class 12 with decent scores. However, a CUET-UG score is not required for some BA specialisations available at VBU. For taking admission without CUET UG scores, candidates should have secured good scores in Class 12 so, they can be selected in the merit list. Hello Candidate, Usually the cut off lies above 85% for general candidates, will land you into a fair chamce to join into your bachelors. But since 2020, due to covid scenerio, there has been a lot of students who scored high percentage of marks. So , in my opinion, the cut off might rise. Cut off also depends upon the number of seats available for a particular subject. So it may vary w.r.t. that also. Conclusion : According to me, it could be around 90% for subjects withs less number of seats. And it may be around 85% for subjects with comparatively higher seats. Good luck.

CUET result 2026 will be declared tentatively in first week of July. Candidates who will appear for the exam can download their CUET scorecard online when released. Yes, Visva Bharati does offer BA courses in three-year and four-year undergraduate degree courses. Visva Bharti offers BA specialisations in languages, dance forms, and other various subjects. The total number of 18 specialisations available in a three-year BA programme and four specialisations in four-year BA courses. For admission to these BA courses candidates are required to complete their Class 12 with a decent score, and the university accepts the CUET UG scores for admission.  

Visva Bharati University offers MA programme across 27 specialisations via its Bhasha- Bhavana (Institute of Languages, Literature and Culture), Vidya Bhavana (Institute of Humanities & Social Sciences), Palli Samgathana Vibhaga (Institute of Rural Reconstruction) and Vinaya Bhavana (Institute of Education). Admission to all these is subject to merit in the last qualifying exams, i.e. UG degree except for ‘Comparative Literature’ and ‘Education’ specialisation.
