B.A. (Hons.) in Hindi - Batch of 2028

Good faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: If we talk about foreign languages, then after becoming fluent in a language, one can easily get opportunities in any multinational company. In the field of Hindi, one option is to become a teacher of this subject, and apart from that, becoming a professor is also a good career choice.
Infrastructure: The entire university campus has free Wi-Fi facilities. Talking about the library, many departments have their own libraries, and apart from that, there is a central library where we can easily access lac of books. The seating arrangements are also quite good. Viva-Bharati has around 30 hostels in total. The hostel facilities are average. Some hostels are in very good condition. For medical needs, there is a hospital called PM Hospital, where students receive free treatment. The campus is very large (spread over about 1,100 acres). There are so many trees here that it feels as if we have entered the lap of nature. The atmosphere here is completely peaceful.
Faculty: The faculty here is quite good. Speaking of teachers and backgrounds, they have completed their degrees from prestigious universities in the country. Their teaching methods are easy to understand, and the behavior of all the teachers is also good. Semester exams get delayed sometimes because admissions through the queue take time. The passing percentage in some departments is very good, but overall, the passing percentage is found to be a bit low.
Other: I already had an interest in Hindi, which is why I chose this subject. The history of this department has been very unique. Many great writers have served as teachers in Hindi Bhawan, such as Hazari Prasad Dwivedi. Apart from him, many renowned poets and writers used to visit here. Viva-Bharati was declared a World Heritage Site in 2023.

M.Sc. in Botany - Batch of 2024

5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Overall, best university for M.Sc. in botany course.
Placements: Most of the students got jobs in top multi-national companies. Last year, the highest salary offered was around 23 LPA by Microsoft. The average number was also high. Top recruiting companies were NCBS, CMFRI, IISc, etc. Many students were offered full-time jobs and work in a variety of supporting roles. Top jobs were botanist, plant taxonomist, and so on.
Infrastructure: Facilities at our college were quite excellent. Every branch consisted of blocks, and each block included either lift 1 or 2. We additionally maintain distinct areas for sports, library, and canteen. College campus lacks hotels, but there were 3 hotel locations within 5 KM. I prefer staying at private hotels since they offer larger and higher quality rooms.
Faculty: Faculty members were highly experienced. Most of them completed their PhDs. They were friendly while teaching and clarifying doubts. College was self-contained, so semester exam correction was done at the college itself. The hard paper was moderate. The pass percentage was always high. The pass rate was over 50%.

Great campus and professors.
Placements: Placement is very low. There is no placement in the arts subjects, but there is placement in the language and management courses, etc. The scenario isn't that great now, but when the university was ranked in the top ten in NIRF, placement was better than it is now.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good with AC available, and free Wi-Fi is provided on campus. A cooler and free Wi-Fi are also available in the hostel. The hostel fee is very low. The hostel premises are clean, and there are many canteens, grounds, and a gym with well-equipped machines and a trainer.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is also great. The exams in the university are difficult. The pass percentage is 40%. The curriculum is also relevant, but I don't think that it makes the students industry-ready, to be honest.
Other: Our batch was very good, they all were helpful and good at studies as well. The best thing about my course was the professors. They literally helped us a lot, along with the Ph.D. scholars. The surrounding area is full of greenery, with well-maintained roads, and a lot of functions and rituals are also celebrated.

A short peek into Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati University.
Placements: The situation of placements is very dire, as there is nobody placed from the institute. The institute does not help in any way to get you into a job or internship, especially if you're doing a BFA. Students mostly figure out their way by applying for internships and various fellowships.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are pretty good; it's not very modern as the institute is a heritage site, but the facilities provided are very good. You get specific art supplies from the department, and the best thing is the studio availability; it's open 24/7. The hostels are also good; I won't say very good due to the lack of a canteen and all.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful if you're open to talking to them. They are knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is somewhat in between very modern and old school. Semester exams are not very difficult, and the pass percentage is high.
Other: I chose the course to understand art practices and the art world better. The best thing about the course is that it's very chill and lets you have time to brew your imagination and creativity. Some new equipment would be helpful. The fests are not too many, but it's decent; the best one is Nandan Mela, a must.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with this university.
Placements: 18% of students get placed in my course. The highest package is 3 LPA, and the lowest package is 2 LPA. The average package is 1.5 LPA in my course. The top recruiting companies of my course are the State Bank of India, non-government organisation, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in my course are free Wi-Fi, a library, and classrooms. The quality and the facilities of my hostel are below average. The quality of food available in the mess is not very good for health. The university has Person Memorial Hospital.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality of teachers is good. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult because the professor does not complete the syllabus on time.
Other: I chose this course because in the future it helps me to get a social work. The best thing about my course is international economics.

I am absolutely satisfied with its academic curriculum and cultural aspects.
Placements: Honestly, there are no placement offers for history students at the undergraduate level. But in other departments like Economics and Languages, there are placement chances with fair packages. As far as I know about my course, which is History Honors, there's no official campus placement. Obviously, students can go out and search for internships and jobs, but at the college level, there are no provisions for placement in the History department.
Infrastructure: The classrooms at Viva Bharati University are properly air-conditioned, with good lighting and sound facilities. Classroom infrastructure and basic furniture are good. There are numerous libraries in this university, but our central library is of top-notch quality. There are a huge number of books and other facilities such as an air-conditioned reading room and a journal section with fast-speed free Wi-Fi. Viva Bharati University provides hostel facilities to both boys and girls, and there are numerous hostels on our campus, but to be very honest, boys' hostels are okay.
Faculty: The professors at Viva Bharati University are very humble and learned. We call them Dadra (elder brother for male professors) and Didi (elder sister for female faculty members). Obviously, they are good at teaching, and of course, very humble, welcoming, and generous in other aspects. Our courses are relevant for further studies/academia, especially if someone is preparing for NET JRF or other teaching exams, or even All India Service exams. I never found my semester exams difficult. Viva Bharati professors are good at making questions (conceptual). Anyone who has kept their eyes open can solve their questions with no struggle, marking is strict.
Other: I'm currently pursuing my B.A. History (Hons.) and this is my last year (CBCS pattern). There are 2 things best about this course, 1st is the syllabus design and 2nd the professors. The history department lacks faculty strength (in numbers). Viva Bharati should recruit a professor. There are several cultural fests and melas organized on our campus that have a blend of local culture and global reach. (Posh Mela and others).
