I am deeply thankful to my faculty who have changed my life for the IT sector.
Placements: In my course this year 2024, around 90 percent of students got selected in very good companies like NIIT, Mircson Technologies, MS Ltd, Berg Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Axis Bank, and Bajaj. All the students have got the opportunity of placement in good companies like NIT and Bajaj. 60 percent of students have got the opportunity of internship along with placement. The salary package range for placements was between 3 LPA and 6 LPA, and for internship was between 2 LPA and 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The classrooms in our college campus are very good with digital boards, and the labs are also equipped with PCs, which have very good facilities, and our central library also works in both online and offline mode along with internet. The hostel here is also very good, which has very good rooms and study tables and chairs are also available for study. The electricity is available 24/7 and internet facility is also available. Very good food is available here in the canteen, which is available on a menu basis and on a daily basis.
Faculty: All the faculty of our college are UGC NET qualified and have three to four years of experience in the company, and all the teachers also have two to three years of teaching experience and have worked in various IT sector companies. The programme of our college is based on the curriculum of the Central University, and various innovative subjects are taught under NIBP. There is a strong focus on skill-based subjects.
Other: When I took admission to my college UCST, I was afraid whether I would understand the language or not or whether I would know how to write in English or not. My faculty has helped me a lot in improving my writing skills and in understanding the subject, and my doubts are cleared. Teachers of all subjects have solved it very easily. I thank all the teachers wholeheartedly.

Placements: There are many hospitals tied up with the institute, and during your internship time, you have many known people in the healthcare area to help you in the future. So, about placement, the college is above average for me. They also give you a chance to work with professional doctors and staff.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for my course is good. The infrastructure is like a big building, and for this here you may feel sad here. But the actual meaning of college is people, activities, and studies. Our college organises proper fun, time, and proper activities. They have every facility like a mess, sports court, etc. About the hostel, it is the best hostel I've seen in college. They provide water, electricity, food, and Wi-Fi. The best part is that they also have a gym.
Faculty: We have the best faculty I have seen in my life. Teachers are the best of the best. The curriculum is according to the syllabus and in a good manner. The internship and all are offered on time. Exams are scheduled on time, and everything flows smoothly. Everything is like bread and butter. They run according to the syllabus, which is sent by the medical university, and the teachers are too good. They are knowledgeable, helpful, funny, and supportive.

I am not very satisfied.
Placements: There are no placements for Humanities students. There are no chances of companies coming for Humanities subjects. Placements only happen for MBA students and maybe for B.Com students. Professors mostly suggest that we go for government jobs or pursue a Ph.D.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are in the worst condition. The canteen food is average. The library and Wi-Fi are very good. The hostel has very little maintenance, and there is mostly a water shortage in the hostel. Water hygiene conditions are also pretty bad. There is no medical facility on the campus.
Faculty: Professors are really great and helpful. They help students a lot and make sure concepts are clear. They even help with future guidance. Exam facilities are average. There are no fans, so it is difficult to focus on exam papers during the summer. The pass percentage is around 80–90%.
Other: My course helps me prepare for my future goal of becoming a professor. I wish there were more campus crowds because students rarely attend the university. We try to organise a lot of activities, but students barely arrive. Scholarships are available for toppers and SC/ST students, which are helpful in their own way. There are scholarships available even for Ph.D. scholars.

The coding challenges given by our faculty are the best for enhancing our knowledge.
Placements: This year, at my college, almost 95% of students in the CS department were selected by various IT companies. I also get a placement package of approximately 2.5 LPA. The salary package for placements is around 3 LPA to 6 LPA. For internships, it is around 2-4 LPA. Companies that select students for placements include Berg Technology Pvt. Ltd., MS Ltd., Mircson Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Skywings Advisors, Bajaj, Justdial, NIIT, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college campuses are beautiful, with trees and plants all around them. The college has very beautiful classrooms with smart boards. Apart from this, our computer lab has Dell PCs with 24-hour power backup and internet facilities. We can access the content in our library in both online and offline modes. Hostel facilities are also very good at our college, where rooms have 24-hour electricity. The food provided in our canteen is also very good and available on a menu basis.
Faculty: All faculty members in our department are NET-qualified. Some faculty members are pursuing their Ph.D. s. Apart from that, all of them have three to four years of IT industry experience. The faculty keeps us coding in the classroom and also conducts tests on a daily basis so that our knowledge always remains strong. The curriculum of our college is based on the curriculum of the Central University. The courses are also taught under NEP.
Other: While doing BCA, I get to experience a lot of things in my college. Along with the curriculum, I learn technology by keeping the current industry requirements in mind. Apart from that, we are made to work on projects along with coding in the classroom itself, due to which our knowledge remains good.

Placements: I am very happy to say that about 96 percent of the students in our college have been placed. I am also among them, I have been appointed as an Assistant Manager in Axis Bank. Most of the students got offers for internships and placements, but 40 percent of students got selected for internships by various companies in their various departments.
Infrastructure: The campus of our college is very beautiful. Our classrooms are very good with digital boards, our library is also well-equipped with Dell PC as well as an internet facility, and we have a central library where we can clear our doubts by accessing online and offline resources. Our hostels and canteens are very good, which have a lot of accommodation facilities, apart from this, very good food is also available in the canteen.

They share with us information about upcoming AI tech, and how it will enhance our time or make our jobs better.

My teachers help me a lot in building my career in the IT sector.
Placements: About 95% of students in our BCA course get selected by various IT companies. As far as placements are concerned, almost all the students in our class get placed in good companies. Some students also get selected for various IT sector roles, where they receive six-month internships. The salary package for placements is around 3 LPA to 5 LPA. The internship stipend is around 2 LPA to 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The basic infrastructure of our college is very good. It is situated in a hilly area with many trees and plants. The surroundings are beautiful. In our classrooms, we study through digital boards. Dell computers are installed in the computer labs. Our central library provides resources in both online and offline modes, making them easily accessible. The college also has good hostel and canteen facilities. Food is served according to the menu, and nutritious meals are provided.
Faculty: All faculty members of our college are well qualified. They all hold Ph.D. degrees. They have around three to four years of IT industry experience along with good teaching experience. The curriculum of our course is based on the Central University curriculum and is designed according to the NEP. We also study skill-based subjects.
Other: I get a lot of support while pursuing my BCA at UCST College. The college helps me understand my course and curriculum and supports me in setting my career goals.

HNB Garhwal University is an excellent choice for a budget-friendly BTech in ECE offering solid academics & experienced faculty. As a central university it lacks dedicated on-campus corporate placements for core electronics. It is highly recommended if you are focused on higher studies like the GATE

HNB Garhwal University is a decent, government-run Central University in Uttarakhand.
Pros: It holds prestigious NAAC 'A' grade. Fees are highly affordable making it great for budget-conscious students. The campus environment is beautiful & the professors are well-qualified & helpful.

HNBGU generally does not offer direct admissions for its programmes including MA Psychology. Students have to clear the admission process to get a seat. The university considers CUET PG scores. However, students can connect with the university to know more.
