YCMOU Nashik offers basic as well as additional infrastructure facilities to the students associated with the university. YCMOU Academic and Research Facilities
YCMOU research cell is a nodal unit of YCMOU for conducting research programmes of the University, operating under the guidance of the Research Council. The initial focus of the research cell was on distance learning and related areas. However, the scope of the research work has been expanded to include both theoretical and empirical research in various academic disciplines and interdisciplinary areas. Currently, only the PhD programme is being conducted in offline mode. The main focus of the research cell of YCMOU is to maintain a strong focus on the flow of theoretical ideas and to connect them with the empirical work of the subject-oriented research in Education, Distance Education, Sciences, Social sciences, Humanities, Commerce and Management, Agriculture and other disciplines offered by the University. The research cell has also set various guidelines for different aspects of admission, coursework, research supervision and evaluation, Anti Plagiarism measures, Award of Degree, Uploading of thesis on INFLIBNET- Shodhganga and award of Fellowships/scholarships/Minor research projects, organising and participation in seminars /conferences/ workshops, etc.

The Library and Resource Centre of the YCMOU was established to fulfil the important role of fulfilling the objectives of YCMOU. The main functions of the LARC are to:
- Support the academic activities of in-house academics and outside experts by providing information sources for the development of learning material.
- Support the reference and information needs of YCMOU students by creating an appropriate facility at the headquarters.
- Provide documents and comprehensive reference, and information services in the area of Open and Distance Education for other distance education institutes in the State.
- Assist coordinators of the LIS Programmes of the University.
The library has a good collection of 56575 printed books (as recorded on 3rd March, 2022), 205000 e-books, 65 printed periodicals, 1700 e-periodicals, 2947 CD-ROMs, 296 audio cassettes, 277 video cassettes, 3 online databases, 535 PHD Thesis, and 20 newspapers. The library services include lending service, inter-library loan service, selective dissemination of information, current awareness services, reprography services, etc.
YCMOU Sports Facilities
To promote the holistic development of the students, YCMOU offers a variety of sports facilities to the students. The institute organises various regional and state-level competitive events under the Student Welfare Centre. The students who perform well in these events further represent the university in the INDRADHANUSHYA and ASHVMEDH competitions. A special financial provision has been made by the university for the sports events. This provision includes food, uniform and other expenses during practice sessions.
The sports meet is held every year, which is organised by the eight Regional Centres of the University at the regional levels and students of the study centres in the jurisdiction of the respective region participate in these regional-level sports tournaments. After the tournaments are over, the students who excel at these tournaments participate in the sports meet organised by the University. Moreover, students who excel at the University level are sent to the All India Association of Universities tournament and the state-level Inter-University tournament ‘Ashwamedh’ every year.
YCMOU Cultural Activities
Students at YCMOU are given a chance to exhibit their talent in the cultural activities. In order to provide them a platform to show their skill and art, youth festivals are organised every year at eight Regional Centres, and the students of the Study Centres of the respective regions participate in programmes like One Act Play, Folk Dance, Singing, Fine Arts, etc. The students who win laurels at the University level Youth Festival are further given an opportunity to represent the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University in the Inter-University Youth Festival called ‘Indra-dhanushaya’.
