National Institute of Design Ahmedabad is a goverment college and was established in 1961 by the Government of India. It is popularly known as NID Ahmedabad and has campuses in Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru. The college has been declared as an institution of National Importance by the Act of Parliament.
