CMA 2024 Exam Centres: The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) conducts the CMA exam for CMA course in test centres located across India and three international cities. ICMAI has introduced four new test centres for CMA December 2024 exam. Candidates can access the exam form correction window to edit their exam city preferences.
Candidates had to select the cities for CMA test centres while filling up the CMA exam application form. CMA students can also opt for their choice of test centres from the available cities for CMA In India, there are 133 CMA test centres in India and three overseas test centres. Candidates are allowed to fill the CMA exam form. While filling the exam form, candidates need to choose desired exam city under the ICMAI regional chapter. ICMAI will try and allot a test centre in the city selected by the candidate. ICMAI may allot a the nearest test city if any exam centre does not have enough test takers.
No, CMA exam is not available from home. Candidates need to appear for the offline exam from test centre allocated for the CMA exam. Previously, ICMAI had conducted the CMA Foundation exam in a home-based online mode during the pandemic, however, it was a temporary measure.
Currently, the CMA exams are conducted in a center-based pen and paper mode. Therefore, candidates need to appear for the exam at a designated exam centre.
You can choose an exam centre while filling out the online exam application form provided by ICMAI. The Institute usually lists available exam centres based on geographical locations. You need to select the city or region where you prefer to take the exam.

CMA Overseas Test Centre

There are only three test cities available for abroad locations as of now. Candidates opting for CMA overseas test centres need to apply in offline mode by sending the printout of filled in the application form of the CMA course along with the requisite application fee in the form of Demand Draft.
How to Select CMA Test Centre?
Candidates have to select the CMA test centre cities while filling up the application form. They have to choose their preferred cities while filling up the application form. The application fee also varies according to the CMA test centre location (whether the selected city is in India or abroad) and the level of the course. The application fee for those applying for Indian test centre cities is in Rupees, whereas that of the international test centre cities is in US Dollars (USD). Candidates must ensure that they select the city which would be convenient for them in terms of commuting on the day of the exam.
Guidelines For CMA Test Centres
Candidates should follow the below tips while appearing the CMA exam from the test centres:
- Candidates should reach the exam centre on time to avoid the last minute-rush
- They should carry CMA Admit Card and other prescribed photo identity cards for verification purpose
- They must abide by all the rules and regulations as stated by the exam authorities
- Test-takers must not carry any personal or electronic belongings such as mobile phones, calculators, notebooks, books, etc. apart from the admit card, photo ID cards and other permissible items as stated in the admit card
