It is not easy to crack CA Final exam without taking any coaching classes. Preparing for this exam requires strong determination, dedication and discipline. Students usually prefer to take coaching to score well in exam. However, with strict timetable and proper preparation strategy, a candidate can prepare for CA Final without coaching.

It is not at all easy to crack CA Final in first attempt. According to student's reaction of past CA Final exam, it is a very difficult exam. Also, the pass percentage of ICAI CA Final is only 25-30 percent. Students usually take at least 3 attempts to clear the examination.

Usually, an individual takes about 3 to 5 attempts to clear the CA Final exam. The course level is too difficult to crack in the first attempt. The overall CA Final pass percentage of any session is usually between 20-25 percent only. It is mainly due to the fact that one needs to clear both groups of the CA Final course. The vastness of CA Final syllabus makes it difficult to crack it in the first attempt.

There is usually a one-day gap between CA Final exams. The exam is conducted within 10 days for any session. For example, CA Final May 2025 exams are scheduled as, May 2, May 4, May 6, May 8, May 10. And May 13 for both Group I and Group II.

Candidates will be able to download CA Final admit card for May 2026 at least 10 days before the exam date. Only registered candidates will be issued hall ticket to appear for exam. ICAI will conduct CA Final May exam 2026 between May 02 and May 12, 2026.

After getting CA Final result, if a candidate is not sure about the marks obtained, they can get them verified by following below steps:

• Enter user ID password and captcha code
• Click on login option
• Choose CA paper (s) for marks verification
• Upload a scanned copy of your handwritten request
• Pay the requisite fee and submit the form

There are 6 papers divided into two groups in CA Final exam. These are Financial Reporting, Advanced Financial Management (AFM), Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics, Multi-disciplinary case study with Strategic Management, Direct Tax Laws and International Taxation and Indirect Tax Laws. According to CA Final pattern, each paper will have subjective questions of 70 marks and objective questions of 30 marks.

It is not easy to crack CA Final by self study as one needs guidance and mentorship at various stages of preparation. Most of the CA students opt for coaching as it helps them study in a disciplined and dedicated manner. However, one can also crack the CA Final course level by self-study, if they are determined, dedicated and disciplined in their preparation. Also refer to the study material provided by the ICAI. Yes, students need to carry an ID proof along with the CA Final admit card on the exam day. The ID proof should be issued by the government of India. If a candidate is unable to clear the CA Final course exam in the first attempt, they can reappear. The initial registration for Final Course is valid for five years, which means each candidate gets 10 attempts. After five years, they can register again for the next five years. The certificate to practice Chartered Accountancy as a profession is given to any student by the ICAI only after they clear the final level. Irrespective of the number of attempts they have made to clear it. Until they clear the CA Final level and get the certificate, they cannot practice as a professional.

ICAI CA Final exam is the toughest among all three CA courses due to its vast and extensive syllabus. The papers included in CA Final course are tough to crack in first attempt. The pass percentage of CA Final exams is very low - 25%. It takes 3-4 attempts by students to clear this exam.

No, there is no sectional time limit in ICAI CA exam. Candidates have to answer all sections within given time. CA Final exam for Paper 1 to 5 is of 3 hours each and Paper 6 is of 4 hours. During this time, they have to answer all the subjective and MCQs.

According to recent official notice released by ICAI, the CA Final examination will conducted twice a year - May and November. This decision has been made for CA Final examination from May 2026 onwards.

ICAI has released the CA Final result 2026 for January session on March 01, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exam can get their scorecard and marks by logging in to their applicant profile.

After ICAI releases CA Final result, if a candidate has not passed the exam, he/she will have to take another attempt (if applicable within current registration cycle). But, If a candidate has passed the exam, he/she can start their independent practice or join a firm as CA or analyst.

It is not possible to crack CA Final exam with only 3 month preparation. CA Final is considered to be the toughest of the three ICAI CA level - Foundation, Intermediate and Final. Students usually take 3-4 attempts to clear this exam.

The exam pattern of every CA course is prescribed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The agency is responsible for designing the CA courses and conducting the examinations as well as awarding the CA certification in India for professional practice. They also decide the exam mode, duration, timing, questions, marking scheme, passing marks and test process. Once the candidate completes the CA course from ICAI, they are ready to practice Chartered Accountancy professionally. 

The paper-wise pattern of CA course levels is different from each other. Some papers are of 2 hours duration whereas some are of 3 hours duration.

The time duration of ICAI CA exams varies for each paper. For some papers, the duration is three hours whereas for some papers it is two hours. The time limit of CA Foundation paper 3 and 4 is two hours and for rest of the papers across levels is three hours. There is no sectional time limit in CA exams.
