If the preparation is right, CMA is not as hard as students complaint about the same. If the pass percentages is compared with ICAI CA exam, CMA pass percentage is comparatively less. However, the number of candidates appearing in CA Final if compared with CMA Final course is huge. The pass percentage of CMA Final course in December 2022 term stood at 6.85% for both the groups, and 17.77% for candidates who onlyu appeared for Group IV exam.

Out of 3751 candidates who appeared in both the groups of CMA Final course, 373 test takers passed the exam for only one course group, while 257 candidates passed the exam for both the groups of CMA Final course in December 2022 term.

Ths institute of Cost Accountants of India, commonly known as ICMAI, releases the CMA results in two to three months of the exam dates for Intermediare and Final courses. CMA Foundation results are released comparatively early. Owing to a MCQ based question pattern in CMA Foundation exam, the results for CMA foundation are typically released within a month of the exam date.

CMA Intermediate results and CMA Final results are released on a  same date. However, the link to check the CMA Intermediate results and CMA Final results are hosted on the separate windows.

ICMAI does not allow candidates to apply for re-evaluation of the CMA exam. However, candidates can apply for verification of the answer sheets. Additionally, the institute does not supply any details of the question-wise marks to the students. A Candidate can apply for verification of answer papers to the Director of Examination, ICMAI, within 30 days from the date of release of the CMA results. To apply for the facility, candidates need to pay INR 250 for each subject paper. During the verification of answer papers, ICMAI will only evaluate the exam papers for any totalling error, or any omission occured while examining any answers.

No. Candidates need to secure 40 per cent in all subject papers individually and an aggregate score of 50 per cent to pass CMA Intermediate course.

With the release of the CMA results for December 2022 term, as many as 1095 candidates passed the CMA Final course to get the certification. Based on the December 2022 result analysis, out of 8039 candidates who appeared for Group 3 of CMA exam, as many as 708 candidates passed, bringing the pass percentage to 8.81%. On the other hand 5025 candidates took the CMA Final group IV exam in the December 2022 term. Out of all the test takers for Group IV exam, 893 candidates passed with bought the pass percentage to 17.71%.

With the release of the CMA June 2025 results, 5,491 candidates completed Intermediate Course of the Institute. Such candidates were marked eligible for the practical training.

Before appearing for CMA Final exam, candidates must have completed the practical training. Merely passing CMA Intermediate course does not mark a candidate eligible for the Final exams.

Candidates who did not pass CMA Intermediate exam can reappear for the same in the subsequent exam session.
