CA Intermediate 2026 exam dates - CA Intermediate January 2026 exam is being conducted from anuary 6 to January 17, 2026. Admit card for the same was released on December 18, 2026. Candidates can download the admit card from the SSP portal until the exam day. ICAI has already released the schedule of CA May 2026 exams. Q:   In how many attempts one can clear CA Intermediate?
A: 

CA Intermediate is a high difficulty level exam and pass percentage is quite low (25 to 30%). Most of the students usually take 2-3 attempts to clear CA Inter exams. To be able to clear the course level one needs to study hard and in a focused manner. However, there is no limit to number of attempts. One can appear for the CA Inter exams until they clear it.

Q:   What is the total marks per paper in CA Intermediate?
A: 

Total marks of every CA Intermediate paper is 100. This course level has six paper so the total marks is 600. CA Inter result is prepared on the basis of candidate's score in all 6 papers and the percentage is announced out of 600. Candidates have to pass in all the six papers to clear the CA Intermediate level.

Q:   How many times is CA Intermediate exam held?
A: 

CA Intermediate exam used to be held bi-annually in May and November but from the year 2024, it is conducted thrice in a year – May, September and January. Candidates can register for the course level and exam as per their eligibility for the exam session. The CA Inter exam dates are announced at the ICAI website for every session about 3-4 months in advance.

The difficulty level of CA Intermediate exams is high. It is considered to be one of the toughest exams to crack due to the vast syllabus and multiple subjects. The late fee amount for CA Intermediate form submission is INR 600. The actual fee for CA Inter is INR 1,500 for single group and INR 2,700 for both groups (domestic students).

CA form filling process is online. Students must have a valid login and course registration. If validity is expired, they must re-validate it at SSP (eservices) website. Check here how to fill CA Inter exam form:

·       Click on login and fill details as required (New users can use the 'New User Register here!' option)

·       Click on confirmation/declaration and 'Register' button

·       Go back to login option

·       Choose registration number in drop-down and authenticate

·       Add relevant details and upload necessary documents

·       Pay fee and submit

Q:   How to pay CA Intermediate exam fee?
A: 

CA Intermediate exam fee can be paid in online mode. Candidates can choose to pay the fee through debit card, credit card, net banking or ewallet. The registration fee is non-refundable so they must also not make any error in the form. Otherwise, they will have to fill a fresh form and pay the fee again.

Q:   Where can I get CA Intermediate exam form?
A: 

The CA Intermediate exam form is uploaded at the ICAI’s Self Service Portal (SSP) eservices website. Candidates can login and access the exam form there. Those who are registering for the first time, need to create a login ID. Those who have a registered previously, can use their existing login ID to fill the exam form. Those whose course registration has expired must revalidate it to fill the form.CA Course Registration Validity of CA Intermediate is 5 years and the fee for revalidation of CA Intermediate course registration is INR 400.

Candidates have to carry a printout of CA Inter admit card and a valid photo ID. They can carry any of the following:

  • Aadhaar card
  • PAN card
  • Voter ID card
  • Passport
  • Driving License

Students must not carry phone, watch, smart watch, earphone, bluetooth device or any electronic items to CA Inter exam centre. They should also not carry books, bags or valuables.

The options to select number of test cities in CA Intermediate exam is 3. Students must select their preferred test location in order – 1, 2 and 3.

Changing test city option after release of CA Inter admit card is not allowed. Candidates will have to appear for the exam at the location mentioned on the admit card only.

There is no fee to be paid for changing test city during CA Intermediate form correction process. Students can make changes in the form if they wish to.
