No, there is no negative marking in CS Executive examination. CS Executive question paper will consist of description/subjective questions which will have no negative marking.
For objective type question, for every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted and one mark will be given for every correct response.
ICSI CS Executive exam duration for each paper is three hours. CS Executive examination is divided into two groups. Gorup 1 consist of four papers whereas, group 2 consists of three papers. ICSI conducts each paper of each group on different days. ICSI CS Executive December 2025 time table has been released. The examination for CS Executive group 1 and group 2 will commence on December 22.

Candidates who apply for CS executive are registered under the course for five years with ICSI. Registered candidates are allowed 10 session attempts with one registration. Additionally, for the CS foundation course, six attempts are allowed and for CS professional, 10 attempts are allowed to candidate. The total score for CS Executive examination is 100 marks for each paper. Group 1 of CS Executive consists of four papers which is of total 400 marks and group 2 of CS Executive consists of three papers which is of total 300 marks. Overall the total marks for CS Executive examination is 700 marks. Candidates must score minimum of 50% in aggregate in 40% in each paper to qualify the exam.
Students who are registered under CS Executive new syllabus and CS Professional new syllabus shall have to appear for the Pre examination test to become eligible to enroll and appear for the CS Executive or CS Professional examination. The exam will be conducted by ICSI. the exam will be served as an eligibility criteria to appear for the main examinations. Candidates will be required to pay the pre examination test fee of INR 1000 online. Once the payment is realised, candidates will be sent invitation along with the login ID and password.
