Q:   How to get admission in JMI? Is CUET compulsory?
A: 

Aspiring students are required to register on the official website of JMI and fill the application form online. In the form, fill all the details asked, upload the required documents and pay the application fee. Starting 2022, for BA, BSc and BVoc, JMI started accepting the scores of CUET UG. For the same, students need to register for the exam, appear for it and qualify it. Qualified students of CUET UG are required to register for JMI counselling after which merit lists will be released with the name of the shortlisted students. For the remaining courses, however, the university is still accepting national and university-level entrance exam for final selection. 

Q:   Is SPA better than NIT?
A: 

SPA Delhi was ranked in the fifth position by NIRF in the Architecture category. Hence, it tops many of the NITs except for NIT Calicut. Thus, the School of Architecture and Planning is preferred by many students. The placements at the school are also decent, in 2021, BArch students received a median package of INR 5 LPA. Yes, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to BSc, BCA, BCom (Hons), B.Ed, BA (JMC), BHMCT, BBA, BA (Hons), BVoc, BPT, BPO, BOT, BASLP, BSc MLT, MSc, MA, MEd, MPT, MOT and MPO courses. IPU CET exam 2026 application forms for other courses, open tentatively in March every year. Apart from conducting IPU CET, GGSIPU also accepts several national-level entrance exams to provide admission to a few undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses.

Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Scholarship - Under this scheme gross fee charged by the university will be reimbursed to the student subject to the maximum limit of Rs. 10,000 per student per annum.
Candidates whose family incomes is less than INR 2 LPA, who have passed 10+2 or completed graduation from a recognised university are eligible for the scholarship.

M. F. H. BEG EDUCATION FUND (SCHOLARSHIP)- Under this scheme, the amount of the scholarship will be Rs.10, 000/- (Rs. Ten thousand only) or amount of gross annual fee, whichever is lower per candidate per academic year.
The scholarship will be used to pay the fees of needy students of Jamia Millia Islamia. The Scholarship for which application is to be made for a particular year will be tenable from the concerned academic year. The scholarship will be given for one academic year, which may be extended to the subsequent year subject to securing an average of 60% marks in the examination and bearing good personal conduct.
