It has a committee with the aim of maintaining harmony between the institution and passed-out students. So an ever-growing relationship exists between both parties. The institution organises alumni meetings every year, which results in an enhanced network of the institution every year. IMS Ghaziabad believes that alumni meetings have the power to bridge the academia-industry gap. The institution does it through short-term projects and mentorship. The alumni help the existing students by getting hands-on experience and by choosing the right career path. The institution has a very large alumni pool from different industries. They not only guide and inspire the students but also help the institution with campus placements by bringing the company to the campus. IMS Ghaziabad students get real-time corporate exposure and guidance through its alumni. This way, students get a chance to hone their problem-solving skills.
The institution provides a platform for the alumni to share knowledge related to their area of expertise and experience with the students. This is conducted through a series of guest lectures. Alumni experience
Mr. Ashwani Soin, Chief Operating Officer at Onsite Diagnostics, is from the class of 1990– 1992. He says that he has always been proud to be a member of the IMS family and to be from the very first batch of IMS. According to him, IMS Ghaziabad has developed a tradition of self-empowerment that helps you achieve success in whatever you do.
Vishal Pant, executive director of India today, is from the 1992-94 batch. He says in the beginning, the IMS building was in the residential area of Kavi Nagar locality of Ghaziabad. At that time, it was very small but very peaceful and cool. The management of the college always supported the students to excel in their field of interest. The institution developed an inherent drive amongst all the students to pursue excellence. He claims that the memory of his college days still excites him. Further, he adds, "I know moving back to those days is not possible in today's time, but I am privileged to be an alumnus of IMS Ghaziabad and get a chance to interact with the younger generation of IMS Ghaziabad.
He added that with quality education and well-nurtured students, the institution will be able to attract more and more companies in the future. Mr. Avneet Gupta, associate director of IBM from the PGDBM 1993-95 batch, says, "I won't forget my time as a student with IMS Ghaziabad. Further, he added that it was the hard work and passion of faculty members and management of IMS that brought him to this level in the corporate world. He said that IMS was the only institution in Western UP that was giving maximum exposure to the corporate world to its students.
