College life at MAIMS, IPU made me a person that I am proud of
Jittery First Day: My Journey Begins at MAIMS
College can be intimidating for many people at the start due to many reasons. But as time passes it gets easier and then it becomes one of the most memorable parts of our life that we never want to end.
I am Akansha Sharma. I am pursuing a BBA.LLB at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies. I am a 3rd year student. I was always interested in law. But l was confused between law and psychology because psychology also used to catch my eye. So, I gave the CUET and CLAT both and kept the law as a backup option for myself. Now I am studying BBALLB.
As we all know college is an important part of our life. So, let me tell you my experience of my college life.
On my first day, I was very nervous. I was afraid of many things that seem a little silly now, like friends, societies, faculty, college life, etc. However, I made a friend even before the orientation started. I met a girl on the rickshaw on which I was going, and coincidentally we both were in the same class. Then I thought that with a familiar face, my first day at the college would become a bit easier. That’s how my first day went there.
Embracing the Life at MAIMS
As an introvert, I was very scared of taking part in many societies. College can be intimidating for many people at the start due to many reasons. But as time passes it gets easier and then it becomes one of the most memorable parts of our life that we never want to end. Even now as I am in my third year and have two more years left, I don’t want this time of my life to end. Spending time with my friends and taking part in various competitions helped me overcome my nervousness and stage fear a lot. It improved my social skills, and I took part in competitions that I never thought I could do like singing, dancing, writing, and managing children by being part of a management and discipline team.
College life and NCC made me the person, I am today
College life made me a person that I am proud of today. I am confident and not a nervous one. College gave me many good friends. Not only college but also NCC, as it did my overall development. The best part of NCC was the camps, where I made memories that I will never forget and friendships. I never want to lose these friendships. I learned many things at NCC, but the most important one was the time management skill. NCC helped me learn how to balance college studies and NCC.
This was my experience in college. This life may have a few challenges, but it became better as I overcame them. At least, I have tried my best to face all the challenges.
