CUET English Syllabus
The National Testing Agency will soon release the official CUET UG English syllabus 2027 at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates must download the English syllabus PDF and begin their preparation accordingly. The CUET English paper is one of the most opted subjects, with over 75% of candidates appearing for it each year, making it a highly competitive exam. CUET UG 2027 English question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions (with no optional questions) that have to be attempted in 60 minutes. CUET UG 2027 exam will be conducted in May-June 2027, in Computer Based Test mode. To perform well, candidates are advised to thoroughly understand the syllabus and practice CUET previous year question papers. Candidates have to appear for number of subjects chosen for CUET exam. Students can opt for maximum five CUET subjects. Candidates must have selected the CUET subjects based on the course criteria they desire to pursue. CUET UG syllabus is similar to class 12 NCERT curriculum. Candidates preparing for exam must focus on NCERT syllabus and previous year question papers to ace the examination.
As per NTA, the CUET UG syllabus adheres to the NCERT syllabus. Hence, it can be assumed that the NCERT books are enough to cover the syllabus of the CUET UG exam. Candidates must note that the CUET exam tests students' understanding of the subject concepts and ability to apply them in various situations.
Therefore, to prepare well and get a good score, it is advised that students refer to other study materials and books designed for national-level competitive entrance exams. The CUET UG syllabus is similar with the Class 12 Board exam syllabus. The chapters and topics are similar to Class 12 syllabus. Unlike other UG entrance exams, CUET UG syllabus does not include Class 11 syllabus.
Candidates can choose upto four exam cities of their choice while filling the CUET application form. NTA will try best to allot the city of examination to the candidates in the order of preference opted by them in their CUET 2026 application form. However, due to administrative/logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted to the candidates. Choice of CUET 2026 centre city will be limited to the State of Permanent Address or State of Present Address only. In case, there are very few candidates from a particular CUET exam centre city, the NTA reserves the right to merge one, two, or more cities.
Candidates will have the oppurtunity to choose the exam city while filling the CUET application form 2026. Candidates must carefully choose the exam cities. No request for change in exam centre will be entertained once the admit cards are issued.

Check the notice before you rely on it. You must qualify JEE Main or CUET for UPTAC. A news report says only candidates with a valid JEE Main 2026 rank could register. The special rounds list CUET (UG) 2026 along with JEE Main. So CUET may help only in some rounds. JEE Main is the safe choice.
