From Bio Labs to Moot court: My Journey at MAIMS
I was an ambivert who knew nothing about law and the legal field, but I had an interest in learning about law and pursuing a path to becoming a good advocate. I was a science (medical) student who loved biology, reading books, and exploring various activities such as dancing, painting, and sports. However, I wanted to be an advocate since the 8th grade. Although it was just a dream of a 12-13-year-old, my parents thought my interest would change in the future, but it didn’t. My dream of becoming an advocate led me to MAIMS, where I studied law and gained admission through the CLAT (Common Law Admission Test), a national entrance exam for law.

College Nostalgia at MAIMS:
College life is often considered the best part of a person’s life. My college campus is decent, and my professors are great, all being experienced in their fields. With their kind nature, they have always bridged the gap between students and treated everyone equally. My seniors are even more supportive than my professors. They possess a truly helpful nature. Ragging seems like an imaginary concept because, in my experience, it involves providing guidance, sharing notes, and keeping us motivated for upcoming challenges. I must say that my seniors are one of the highlights of my college life. The memories I’ve made with my peers, both from the law department and NCC, are cherished.
NCC: A Way of Life
I joined NCC because of the advantages it offers. After joining, I realized that NCC not only provides valuable certificates but also teaches crucial life lessons such as discipline, unity, and empathy. It has instilled a sense of duty towards our nation in me. I have attended only the CATC camp, which was a great experience. I have learned a lot about weapons and drills in NCC and participated in various adventurous activities like yachting, trekking, and horse riding. NCC also sponsors students who excel in sports to participate in sports activities like cricket and aims to raise awareness of social issues. It organizes various camps, such as blood donation camps and Shamandan camps, to address these problems.
My Law Journey:
I participated in a Moot Court competition held at our college to gain insight into legal proceedings. My experiences there were challenging, as I knew little about it. However, as I mentioned, my seniors helped me understand important aspects such as the significance of memorials and case law in supporting our arguments and the importance of confidence. I have also participated in client counseling. So far, this is all I have experienced. I just completed my first year of BA.LLB. There is still much for me to learn and understand. I want to enjoy this journey as well, but I will always remember this remarkable first year of my life.
