From Virtual Classrooms to Courtrooms: My MAIMS Adventure
I’m in my fifth year of the B.A.LLB. I was in my 11th grade when I first became interested in law. I learned about different employment alternatives by attending numerous career counseling sessions. My board exams for class 12th ended during the First Stage of COVID-19 in 2020. All college entrance tests and admissions processes were postponed during this period. I cleared my CLAT exam, and using its results, I applied to the MAIMS, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies, IPU. I also applied for a Geography honours program at Shivaji College of Delhi University as a backup plan. However, I decided to pursue an integrated B.A.LLB study after I got selected by my current college. The entry process was particularly challenging because, at that time, my parents tested positive for COVID-19. My elder sister went with me to finish the admission process.

College experience at MAIMS:
Because of COVID-19, the first two semesters of the college were conducted virtually. Since I had never attended online classes before, it was challenging at first. Colleges started offline during the third semester. I was excited to experience life on the college campus. I got to know a variety of people from diverse backgrounds and learned about their cultures and beliefs. I have had an incredibly great time spending time with my college mates since my second year. Because this is my final year of college, I want to make the most of it and create even more memories.
Balancing NCC and college life:
In my third year of college, I joined NCC. Honestly, at first, I had trouble keeping up with my morning parades and college classes. However, I eventually discovered how to balance my extracurricular and academic obligations. I made many schedules to balance my college and NCC life. In college, I had my fair share of issues and hardships. Occasionally, I had trouble understanding what was being taught in class. There were moments when I couldn’t take my daily routine anymore. I also started doing internships in my third year.
Internship experience:
I started doing internships in my third year. My first internship was in Rohini Court through a reference. The other was at a law firm in Rajouri Garden. I learned great things and gained a lot of experience from all the internships. The best internship I have done so far was my third internship. During that internship, I learned how to draft, which is crucial in my work. It was a wonderful experience. I’m working on my fourth internship, which was made possible by our college’s placement cell’s Internship Fair. I was chosen for this internship after I had an interview with my present employer at that internship fair. To strengthen my resume and gain more experience, I hope I will continue doing internships. Since this is my last year, I’m concentrating on the job opportunities I have.
