IIT Gandhinagar Admission 2021 begins for MA in society & culture, last date to apply is Jan 31

Candidates interested in IIT Gandhinagar Admissions 2021 must note that the program is interdisciplinary, and ensures intellectual flexibility and rigor in the use of theory and methodology.

IIT Gandhinagar Admission 2021: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Gandhinagar commenced the admission application process for its MA program in Society and Culture, offered by the discipline of Humanities and Social Sciences, designed to enable a student to understand social mores, cultural codes, along with the universality of human nature in particularized contexts of nations and societies. Candidates interested in IIT Gandhinagar Admissions 2021 must note that the program is interdisciplinary, and ensures intellectual flexibility and rigor in the use of theory and methodology. Three tracks that are currently offered are Literature and Society; History and Politics; Public Policy and Human Development.

IIT Gandhinagar MA Programme Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for the IIT Gandhinagar admissions 2021 MA Programme, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% (or equivalent CPI/GPA). Candidates awaiting final semester/year results and would be completing a Bachelor’s degree in the academic year 2019-2020 are also eligible to apply. Eligibility requirements for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be in accordance with the Supreme Court guidelines.

IIT Gandhinagar 2021 Admission Selection Process

Selection for IIT Gandhinagar Admission to MA Program will be done on the basis of entrance test and interview. The Institute will invite a limited number of candidates for a written test and interview based on the academic records and aptitude for graduate study in the humanities and social sciences. The final selection will be based on - academic records, aptitude for graduate studies, written test and interview. The Institute may also exercise the option of offering admission to a few outstanding candidates based on academic records without calling them for written test and/or interview.

IIT Gandhinagar Admission Application Fee

While it is expected that the test and interview will be held at IIT Gandhinagar. However, in case of any change in the venue, a notification will be sent to the shortlisted candidate. Candidates appearing for the Test/Interview must know that the institute will reimburse any amount exceeding Rs 750/- for to and fro single second-sleeper class railway fare by the shortest route from their place of residence to the Institute /venue of the Test / Interview. Those admitted to the MA program will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 5,000/-. The stipend support will be renewed per semester subject to a student's continued satisfactory progress in the program.
