Lakecity Voice Raises the clarion call for a better tomorrow in these challenging times
April 21, 2020: Jagran Lakecity University - JLU is using Lakecity Voice Radio to create awareness among people about the current pandemic situation due to COVID-19. The University is using the station as a communication hand by giving accurate public health updates, Mental Health solutions and coping advice, lifestyle and food along with playing a critical role in preventing and addressing the social stigma associated with COVID-19.
From March 2020 onwards when the lockdown was deployed in India, Lakecity Voice has broadcasted audio spots, breaking news, programmes with key experts from diverse public service departments along with many PSAs. The station brought in Head of Disease Management and Stakeholder Engagement, Singapore to speak on Corona Do’s & Don’ts, Sound healers, Yoga experts, Chefs, Doctors on mental health, business experts to cope with the economy as well as music and humour.
Radio Jockeys send messages of awareness, stay at home, social distancing, adhering to the given official guidelines along with featuring campus talents and sharing their campus missing stories. It also invited guest RJs from commercial FM channels to deliver their promos and messages to people. The programme also highlighted an exclusive interview with Anant Mittal from IIT, Roorkee. He has developed an AI-based drone for sanitizing purpose against corona 2019.
It was recently invited by local Municipal Corporation to partner it in their movement to address and support the citizens during this pandemic

University Conducts Online Lectures Amid Lockdown
March 27, 2020: Considering the importance of the classes to keep going, Bhopal-based Jagran Lakecity University - JLU has decided to conduct classes of ongoing batches online. The University has facilitated all faculty members with the best available tools to add value to the learning of students. The classes are equally interactive and fun as that of the traditional classroom method. Similar to physical setup, the time table follows and all the students attend most of the lectures. All the sessions are recorded to let students access to classes again and again for better clarity of concepts. Meanwhile, management is also making arrangements to conduct assessments sessions and exams online.
